I'd like the support to drop any songs that get us into trouble. It won't happen as a result of bans, vilification by journalists or even name-calling and condescension from our own support. The culture of the support will only change when an alternative is promoted. This means that people who want things to be different need to go along and sing something else to drown out the rest. I often suspect that the people who complain the loudest about this, and call fellow supporters nasty names, are nowhere to be seen on cold evenings in Kirkcaldy et cetera.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz . . . Despite lacking quality everywhere* we still retain quite a bit of possession. We struggle to create decent chances though. If we were to add one player, of the type I suggest, then we might convert possession into decent chances. One might then find that we get more out of the rest of the team without having to replace the whole lot. Completely hypothetical now though. * That is to say in general. As opposed to in particular.

I think you are either somewhat out of touch or deliberately not paying attention to what other people are saying here. I'll leave you to it and I can only hope that others do the same.
-
Good, of course, but that's not all that I meant. Someone who could create something between the midfield and forwards, in particular, is required.

Funny, you only mentioned getting promoted in the post that I quoted. Winning the premiership will cost more. The current board will not be able to provide it though since few will attend until they go. We have two options at present: King et al or further insolvency events and asset stripping. Wake up.

King has mentioned the importance of getting the correct manager to address on field problems. He mentions that there is no point spending money if the right manager is not in place, or words to that effect.

It will not take tens of millions to get out of the championship.

Naismith is the type of player that we miss. I'd like us to get someone else who is similar.
-
I think that King has mentioned this.

Mike Ashley is treating Rangers like a branch of Sports Direct
ranger_syntax replied to ranger_syntax's topic in Rangers Chat
Some of our supporters really need to wake up. I've just had an exchange elsewhere with a chap who thinks that questioning what Ashley is up to is the result of brainwashing. This chap also couldn't imagine why someone would seek to move money out of Rangers to another company. -
Great. Anyways, I'm very surprised by the loan signings. In terms of the football alone I hope that this leads to an improvement. Apart from that I'm very suspicious of the deal. Is it wise to take a loan of money from Mike Ashley and then use it to pay wages for players from his other club? I would say not. Particularly as we don't even have enough money to pay the existing squad without borrowing money from him.

If a football player was entitled to any legal protection, on the basis of data protection, then we would have seen it in action. Footballers can afford to challenge these things. We should have got rid of Black. We didn't and now here we are again. Can we expect such allegations to surface again in the future?

Has Alison Clark-Dick met any of those who are judged to be 'in it for themselves'? Also, Facebook pages are never private. It might be described as private by Facebook but if you have any friends then it is not really private. Similar to the way that if one wants to keep a secret one does not tell anyone else.

Please accept the humblest of apologies. I will use objective terminology, such as 'going nowhere', on all such occasions in future.

That's a fair point, that would make it more difficult. Correct me if I'm wrong but both schemes will have an opportunity to buy shares from any share issue at a good price, right?

Yes, it would be much easier. It would also be much easier if both organisations had exactly the same aims but I can't be sure that is the case. Given that we have a range of opinions* among the support the status quo works well enough. When the various schemes have common ground cooperation can happen. When this is not the case each scheme is free to do as it pleases. * perhaps good to remember that the Vanguard Bears also have something on the go at the moment. Should we ask them to merge too or cooperate when willing and able?

I disagree. Both are making good progress demonstrated by the recent increase in contributions and memberships.

I would not be surprised if both schemes held 5% between them, in 12 months, with the current setup still in place.

I think that merging is a silly idea. It is quite depressing to see it repeated constantly. Having two schemes gives people a choice about how to participate. There are a number of reasons to prefer one and not be interested in the other. As a result more people do participate.

Rangers: Dave King’s move faces taxing questions
ranger_syntax replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Did I see the word 'discretion' in there? If the SPFL is not free to use discretion then we must wonder if there are not two other people that Dave King could trust to fill these roles.- 78 replies

Given what Ashley and Easdale are up to I find it hard to believe that anyone is debating Murray and King.
