We can still challenge in the league but we need to start picking up points instead of throwing them away against smaller teams. As I've said before that will require serious improvement.

I think we should go with Holt, Halliday and Forrester.

Kranjčar was poor again. Garner was hardly in the match. We need to get the midfield working again somehow. If we do that then should start picking up 3 points when we play the smaller teams. Get some momentum before new year.

Maybe the Celtic brand is bigger. I mean even Rangers supporters are posting about Celtic in Rangers Chat.

I see, pretty braindead stuff, glad I don't keep up with that sort of thing. Sometimes think I should stop looking in here given how frequently, and eagerly, it gets circulated.

The best part of the team last year was the midfield and the most consistent player in midfield was Holt. This season he is absent and the midfield is not as good collectively. As I've mentioned before a lot of improvement will be required to achieve anything.

I like the sequence at the end where you hear someone hooting and laughing just before the really tough guy brings out the wet floor sign.

Well, that was underwhelming. A defence that cracks as soon as it is tested and an attack that you can predict will struggle to score. This match adds to my pre-season suspicion that Kranjčar, and Barton, have weakened the best part of the team. Have we really strengthened the team? I think I would much rather that the manager put Forrester and Rossiter in from the start. If we achieve anything this season it will require a transformation of the first eleven. That could be a different selection or a radical improvement from those already playing.

From where I was sitting much of his passing was terrible. Widespread confusion when he was announced as man of the match.

Will somebody at the B.B.C. read this and mention it to Cosgrove?

Not sure how you figure that out. Looks like it was all about money to me.

There is no real reason for outsiders to think that we will do well in the league. We still have lots to prove. We can only hope that the team takes some motivation from this.
