  1. It's a bad symbol to use in my opinion. Salty old seadogs know of the negative connotations that it carries. Hope that the club never uses it again. In fact I'll email them later on and warn them not to use it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_maritime_signal_flags Also perhaps admin can consider banning use of the Saltire in here.
  2. Children need to learn the appropriate way to behave when the game is boring. That shouldn't involve various silly ideas like colouring in or face painting. Fortunately there are many role models available nearby. When the game is boring the children should take note of what adult supporters do i.e. groan, shout and complain.
  3. Why would another rambling anecdote, an appeal to a press report or use of the almighty 'surely' make me change my mind? Possession and territory are both subordinate to goals. Goals dominate football matches. It's great to try and soften the blow of another defeat by claiming that our team has 'dominated'. We have all done it.
  4. I think it leads to confusion. Particularly since you dominate a match by scoring more goals than your opponent.
  5. If you want to say 'dominated' as some sort of shorthand for 'had more possession', 'had more shots' or 'spent the match in the opponent's half' then fine. I don't know why you don't just say what you really mean.
  6. I've highlighted some sort of hilarious attempt at trolling. I'm ignoring the majority of this meandering nonsense. Matches are dominated by goals.
  7. I've questioned the tactics as long ago as last season. We still struggle convert possession into goals. Our defence is still poor. Opponents still cause us problems with a simple tactic. These facts are not unrelated.
  8. Don't forget the press.
  9. Ask if we can progress any further than we have before suggesting that we've regressed. Claim we are still learning to break down 'brickwallers' despite the fact we have been coming up against defensive opposition for quite some time. Much of the rest is just empty waffling.
  10. What a load of rubbish.
  11. Not sure how that was a free kick. I could probably have lived with a draw as I didn't think we threatened the Aberdeen goal enough.
  12. How much did he weigh?
  13. A trendy nightspot in Bothwell?! Imagine earning thousands of pounds every single week for years. After a bad day at the office the best thing that you can imagine doing is to go for a night out in . . . Bothwell!
  14. The supporters do the 'following' though, no? Best for the players to continue being professional. Why would you expect to shut the other fans up anyway?
  15. Which bit was rewritten?
  16. We can still challenge in the league but we need to start picking up points instead of throwing them away against smaller teams. As I've said before that will require serious improvement.
  17. I think we should go with Holt, Halliday and Forrester.
  18. Kranjčar was poor again. Garner was hardly in the match. We need to get the midfield working again somehow. If we do that then should start picking up 3 points when we play the smaller teams. Get some momentum before new year.
  19. Maybe the Celtic brand is bigger. I mean even Rangers supporters are posting about Celtic in Rangers Chat.
  20. Please kill this thread.
  21. Is money really the problem?
  22. I actually read it before posting . . .
  23. I see, pretty braindead stuff, glad I don't keep up with that sort of thing. Sometimes think I should stop looking in here given how frequently, and eagerly, it gets circulated.
  24. The best part of the team last year was the midfield and the most consistent player in midfield was Holt. This season he is absent and the midfield is not as good collectively. As I've mentioned before a lot of improvement will be required to achieve anything.
