  1. Anyway I only looked in here to confirm my suspicion that the usual suspects would be doing the following two things: 1. Downplaying how bad some previous managers were. 2. Exaggerating how bad some previous managers were. It was as I suspected.
  2. I've got another link. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3698505/Paul-Le-Guen-turns-offer-new-Nigeria-coach-did-not-want-country.html I can't find any evidence of him managing Nigeria but google brings back reports from the 19th and 20th. Reporting that he was appointed and then it fell through. Can anybody else help us get to the objective truth?
  3. Have we reached the next level of excuse making? Working in Africa, then the gulf, demonstrates a clear career trajectory. Is he really working in Nigeria?
  4. I thought his reported salary, 800K, was quite high.
  5. Does McCoist post in here?
  6. Perhaps he is just unsure if Warburton will ever get another managerial post . . .
  7. Looks like great fun no matter who we get.
  8. We all expect a ballot of supporters on the CCC, no? Why do people start to imagine rewards for loyalty when an oversubscribed match is suddenly on the horizon?
  9. I can remember listening to some other supporters talking about Ashley prior to King et al winning control. The line was about how Ashley will invest millions and that we shouldn't chase him out and so on. I don't think that these supporters had any insight into what Ashley would do but it was the sort of misinformation that gets spread around to make supporters think twice. I think it's completely implausible that Ashley would take control and invest money. He knows the likely effect that he would have on attendances and so he knows that there will be little or no return on such an investment. The only question is whether we should circulate this crap or not.
  10. I'd guess it is the simplest answer, a ballot.
  11. You mean Toral? Said this on his first match but thought I might have been a bit harsh. Then tonight I thought we would be better off with Hutton.
  12. No idea why Kiernan thought he had to make that tackle.
  13. Toral was a liability.
  14. I'll opt for number 1.
  15. There is only one way to silence Chris Sutton.
  16. I think that sounds terrible. No fun at all.
  17. What do you mean?
  18. Thanks for showing your working. Think we can all agree that Halliday is a junior player now.
  19. I don't get it. Based on this headline?
  20. Quite easy to argue the opposite given the amount of money at stake if the club is run poorly.
  21. How many times does it need to be said? We have a significantly higher budget than the teams around us. We need better management. Giving more money to Warburton would have been like pouring petrol onto a bonfire.
  22. The anatomy of an article about the vacant management post at Rangers: 1. Mention a former manager 2. Mention Billy Davies 3. Mention a former player 4. Enlist services of 'rent-a-gob' former player 5. Squeeze in silly request for a job from said former player Am I being unfair or have we really read this article a million times before?
  23. Was it Benjamin Franklin who once said:
  24. Warburton failed to get us into Europe at the first attempt.
