I don't think the video said anything about what would be better for the players in this system. As it is he may well get first team football at the clubs he is loaned to while being paid a larger salary than he could expect if contracted elsewhere. Is that really supposed to be bad?

Hodson is a better defender. But then I think that Dodoo is a better defender than Tavernier.

Finally watched back the goals. Some really poor stuff from the midfield. Looks like a combination of unwillingness to track back and complete disorganization later in the game. Tavernier also manages to get caught out of position for a couple of the goals. Beerman made a terrible mistake for the opener but that sort of thing will happen when you play an inexperienced player.

Yes, so many dropped points have been caused by poor defending against the other teams. That should be easy for a good manager to sort out. The hard part is dealing with what we witnessed today.

That's as bad as it gets. We need 3/4 successful signings in the summer to get heading back in the right direction. Warburton's summer signings have proved to be almost a complete failure. His January loan signings have had a few good moments but are short of what is required. It can't be repeated.

It doesn't matter if he was the best player in a team that looks like finishing 3rd. I'm worried that this is another sign that we can't find players to keep him out of the team. If we can't do that then there will be a difficult season ahead.

Although we will do better I think we can expect another frustrating season. As an aside I hope we're not still debating Kenny Miller and his contract extension.
