Ongoing new manager discussion and speculation
ranger_syntax replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
It would make little sense. He needs money to succeed. -
Yes, this was my first thought. What about aspects of play that are not measured.

Anybody familiar with this twitter account? https://twitter.com/TheSPFLRadar I've noticed it a few times now but never really looked in any detail. I saw this post that surprised me though. His team of the season so far includes Tavernier, Candeias and Morelos. I was really surprised to see Tavernier included. I'm always criticising him. What do you all think? Is his analysis any good or just a load of rubbish?

You may well be right about McArthur but it doesn't have to apply to everyone. It appears that Dorrans, for example, had an interest in bringing his family to Scotland. I've yet to see any similar reports about McArthur. Has anybody else? -
Perhaps a good time to return to this post on The Rangers Observer. https://www.rangersobserver.com/news/2017/11/5/rangers-in-no-rush-on-new-boss

Scotland call ups a 'laughing stock', says Kris Boyd
ranger_syntax replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
I'm totally indifferent to the Scotland team. But if some Scotland fans act like this then I hope we have as many Rangers players as possible playing for Scotland. Imagine how awful those fans will feel cheering for our players. Lets not forget each one will be paying about £30 for the pleasure. It couldn't happen to a nicer bunch. -
Titter, sure that's what you meant Dermot?

On a more serious note; what would we discuss in here if we ignored clickbait crap?

Which stadium is pictured on this page? https://thefitbanomad.wordpress.com/2017/11/01/the-fitba-nomad/ Anybody know?

Rangers v Thistle - The Never Ending Journey
ranger_syntax replied to JohnMc's topic in Rangers Chat
Nice easy three points. Good to see goals from some players I didn't expect to score. Sadly Kranjčar was rubbish again. -
I think that we will be more likely to maximise revenue if we do not buy any local pubs. The car park is an interesting question though. Could it be used for something like a park and ride during the week? Or would we be better off if we could sell it to a property developer? The last option might upset some supporters.

Anybody else not intrigued at all? -
Wait until he has access to a video replay.
-
That might be a good idea. There are lots of options to explore that don't involve the match slowing down.
-
Why does it take 30 seconds to retrieve a ball? This is the kind of rubbish I'm talking about.
-
Not just the name. It should go back to being the European cup. Ditch the seeding and the group stages. Champions only.
-
Not for me thanks. The referee will make mistakes. I can accept that. I don't want the game to be slowed down any more than it already is.
-
I know. I think it is safe to say that most don't though.

I don't agree with most of the things you say here. Why is Hampden too small? Few games played at Hampden sell out. Why is Hampden inadequate? My only complaint is that many of the seats are far from the pitch. Why do you think that a national stadium should be near motorways South of Stirling? That assumes that it most important to cater to fans who drive to the match. Many others like to do things such as go to the pub before and after a match. This is not something that your proposal will cater for. This last point applies to a few other things too like hotels and restaurants. A big city like Glasgow can provide all these things. Finally, imagine how silly it would be making the two largest travelling supports in the country go to Stirling for a cup final. You would alienate and disappoint the largest number of supporters possible.

Why would colinstein say something like this? Does he not remember all the abuse that Lennon gave us while celebrating a goal at Ibrox? -

One rather logical explanation of cutting ties with PC now is that any new manager, assuming that he comes in sooner rather than later, will have time to accrue all the points that PC would have dropped by January. -

Is MPH looking for some more monies from Mechelen? -
Although I still think that this is a dumb thread I think that it would be fascinating to see your Twitter 'spat'. Can you share a link with us?
