This is a bit underwhelming. Without being excited about it I would have taken McInnes now and before Warburton left. Was mostly hoping for the recruitment to be over. Who knows when it will end now.

I find the safety/terror idea unlikely. It probably will be nice but what is the rationale for investing resources in it.

Titter, nothing like that at all as it happens. Peña looks good inside the box and for a moment last night, his long range shot, out side the box too. He spends the vast majority of the match outside of the box.

Peña did some good stuff in attack but anywhere else still looks poor. I thought the team looked reluctant to pass to him.

Yeah, my expectations have slipped so low for both Miller and Peña. I'm happy to say they were 'decent' if I don't think they are costing us the game. A very low bar.

That was great. I was sure our attack would be useless when I saw the team. We managed to get Tavernier and Windass playing very well. Decent performances from Miller and Peña also. I think Windass must be suited to playing more centrally. Perhaps this formation is the way forward. Mustn't forget to acknowledge Ryan Christie and Gary Mackay-Steven. Surely a special night for both of them.
