  1. If you don't cast a vote then you can't sack an incumbent politician. The only thing that politicians fear is being sacked.
  2. That would be very foolish. Bluenoses are most definitely not disenfranchised.
  3. Abstention is definitely not the answer. Neither the SNP, nor Labour, are likely to be friendly to us. There are a few other parties you can vote for. Something more useful would be for you to take some time to scrutinise local government in the same way that the author obviously has. Most of the things that various councils get up to happens because nobody is watching. If you don't take the time to do either of these things then please don't be surprised if nobody takes your complaints seriously.
  4. It's little wonder that the SNP et al are so confident to stick the boot in to us. That was a really good article and much of the first three pages of responses were familiar, irrelevant and disappointing. If one can't concentrate on a simple topic without meandering off to various referendums then one will struggle to oppose people like Dornan.
  5. Noticed Frank McAveety mentioned and though so too. I had to laugh. I'm a somewhat unenthusiastic member of a political party as it happens.
  6. I find it hard to believe Motherwell managed to control the second half. That is the real lesson for the manager to learn. Tav still can't defend cross balls and that isn't going to change. Should also add that we are much more likely to drop points while still playing in Europe.
  7. Happy to see Lafferty score two despite being extremely limited. How does he do it?
  8. I was hoping for more goals but the other team didn't really threaten us. I can't believe how reluctant the ref was to book any of them. There must have been about 20 fouls against us in the first half. 90 minutes of hard work should see us through again.
  9. The freedom of information act is for public authorities. Does this apply to FARE? I don't think it is a public body.
  10. He's right to bring in Lafferty. We needed another attacker/striker. If Gerrard doesn't bring in cover at centre back then I will be happy to argue with him.
  11. I think that this is possibly the best post that you have ever contributed.
  12. Pretty sure I was either indifferent or opposed at the time. It was clear after a short time that we would have been better signing Lafferty than Herrera.
  13. I'm not a fan of re-signing old players but I'm happy that we have signed him now. This is something that we should have done 12 months ago. Gif related
  14. Cover at centre back looks like a priority to me. Perhaps we will bring in an experienced player on deadline day. I think we could also afford to bring in Lafferty. No point in waiting for him for next season. We need him in now.
  15. Shame the referee didn't award that goal. Morelos has deserved a first half hat-trick. Great save from Foderingham too. I was underwhelmed when I saw he was playing but he has done well.
  16. Good news for us. If Celtic have problems off the park then this will exacerbate them.
  17. Based on the replay that I saw I thought Morelos deserved to go off. It's not good enough and the manager needs a striker he can rely on. We would have flattened them if we had eleven men on the park. That point aside the referee was absolutely terrible. Just a few bad decisions that you could mention: Ryan Jack getting flattened and knocked out of the game; no booking, Connor Goldson shouting at a player for diving, yellow card; Scott Arfield getting grabbed by an opponent and not reacting, yellow card. I actually expected Ryan Jack to get sent off for the last one.
