  1. Special mention for the Kilmarnock fans. I think that might be the biggest away support we have seen this season. They didn't go away unrewarded either. They were so happy they Morelos was flagged for offside. The cheer was so loud I thought I had missed a goal!
  2. Really? Looks like a straightforward red card for an elbow to the face.
  3. Happy days are here again. Great performance from the midfield tonight. It was easy against ten men but that doesn't make it any less enjoyable. I really hope that this sends Steve Clarke tumbling off into darkness.
  4. Shh, Celtic fans will be trying to get us kicked out of the competition.
  5. Glad he emphasised the choice that the B.B.C. has made.
  6. That's what I thought. Again I don't think that is a lot in the current market.
  7. I'm also under the impression that he cost ~£1m. Forgive me for thinking that modest in the current market.
  8. Many of us knew how it would play out. I had little expectation of a goal in the second half. Couldn't even make the effort to complain after that.
  9. Grezda signed for a rather modest transfer fee. He has also struggled with injuries. Deciding if we've had a return on investment has some way to run yet. I doubt that we have spent too much on Davis and Worrall. Besides, if we get to the summer and people are still moaning about Davis then we can decline to sign him permanently.
  10. What money? He left on freedom of contract. Worrall is a loan anyway. Not sure if we paid a fee for him but that would surprise me.
  11. Quite. Morelos will play though.
  12. Contrary to what many are saying I thought Davis, Kamara and Kent were good today. Admittedly not good enough. Barisic, on the other hand, was terrible. He has all the ability required yet he shows none of the courage. Gerrard will hate that and happily drop him for Halliday if he doesn't turn it around. Defoe was anonymous. If he reads the gutter press then he will probably see a 2 next to his name. There is no point in playing him if we don't adapt and give him the right kind of service. Wes was good and made an exceptional save to retain a point. Despite having mentioned all these individuals I think that the result was caused by the team performance rather than individuals. It looks like we can't remember how to pass and create chances. This is probably caused by the team relying on a moment of quality from someone like Morelos, Kent or Tavernier. When that happens players stop thinking about picking the right pass or moving off of the ball. I don't expect a collapse from Celtic so I think it is fair to say that this match is the final nail in the coffin of any league title challenge.
  13. You would have to really want to sign him. Once he is in there will be a raging torrent of information travelling from the Ibrox dressing room to the Daily Record and the B.B.C.
  14. I'm not arguing about the meaning of anything. The empirically verifiable facts are not as you say. The S.F.A. will not publish such a memo but feel free to try and distract all you like.
  15. You must have problems with your eyesight. His leg is clearly bent and contact is made on the shin guard. That is to say the shin guard that he is wearing on his shin. Not the shin guard that he is wearing on his knee.
  16. Duncan Shearer should watch the replay. McGregor doesn't have a straight leg in the challenge. I suppose a proper journalist would correct him rather than print his rubbish.
  17. I've got no interest either. Although I think I would find it very funny to see the tartan army left with no option but to cheer on a team dominated by Rangers players.
  18. The compliance officer has made Scottish Football worse and I think that VAR will also make it worse. One of the problems with the compliance officer is that the criteria for citation is unclear. I'm sure that in a previous rulebook it specifically mentioned that incidents that lead to criticism among the press and public will be cited. If that is the case then we don't need much imagination to see how the system can fail. If broadcasters, newspapers or social media contain a lot of criticism for certain incidents then those incidents will lead to citations. This puts a lot of power into the hands of the media. It also guarantees that big teams will be treated differently to small teams. When someone tries to implement VAR it will require cameras. The cameras will probably be provided by a broadcaster and the production team will have control over which footage is made available to the referee. In addition to that producers will be able to decide to follow particular players around with numerous cameras during the match. Again, this puts a lot of power into the hands of the media. The media are completely unaccountable at present. This is why they can do and say whatever they like. Why let them play such an important role in our game? The introduction of a compliance officer is a textbook example of why more bureaucracy rarely improves anything. We would be much better off if we all accepted that the referee will make mistakes and that his, or her, decision is final.
  19. Look at Pete. So bereft of modesty that he claims to read the mind of a football player.
  20. Giving a red card to Power for a dangerous challenge doesn't imply all high feet warrant a red card. Only when it is dangerous. Also, McGregor didn't come out with a straight leg. Power did though.
  21. Tempted to think the same but no point in him cutting off his nose to spite his face. I'd much rather he was picking up caps that his understudy.
  22. Quite clear that McKenna is unable to cope mentally or physically with Morelos. If Morelos would be a bit smarter then he would humiliate McKenna each and every time that they met.
