  1. I've got no interest either. Although I think I would find it very funny to see the tartan army left with no option but to cheer on a team dominated by Rangers players.
  2. The compliance officer has made Scottish Football worse and I think that VAR will also make it worse. One of the problems with the compliance officer is that the criteria for citation is unclear. I'm sure that in a previous rulebook it specifically mentioned that incidents that lead to criticism among the press and public will be cited. If that is the case then we don't need much imagination to see how the system can fail. If broadcasters, newspapers or social media contain a lot of criticism for certain incidents then those incidents will lead to citations. This puts a lot of power into the hands of the media. It also guarantees that big teams will be treated differently to small teams. When someone tries to implement VAR it will require cameras. The cameras will probably be provided by a broadcaster and the production team will have control over which footage is made available to the referee. In addition to that producers will be able to decide to follow particular players around with numerous cameras during the match. Again, this puts a lot of power into the hands of the media. The media are completely unaccountable at present. This is why they can do and say whatever they like. Why let them play such an important role in our game? The introduction of a compliance officer is a textbook example of why more bureaucracy rarely improves anything. We would be much better off if we all accepted that the referee will make mistakes and that his, or her, decision is final.
  3. Look at Pete. So bereft of modesty that he claims to read the mind of a football player.
  4. Giving a red card to Power for a dangerous challenge doesn't imply all high feet warrant a red card. Only when it is dangerous. Also, McGregor didn't come out with a straight leg. Power did though.
  5. Tempted to think the same but no point in him cutting off his nose to spite his face. I'd much rather he was picking up caps that his understudy.
  6. Quite clear that McKenna is unable to cope mentally or physically with Morelos. If Morelos would be a bit smarter then he would humiliate McKenna each and every time that they met.
  7. I suppose Ryan Jack will be then next one to be cited by the compliant officer.
  8. He gives us an out ball in lots of situations. We look like we struggle to adapt to his absence.
  9. Time for Lafferty and Defoe to step up. Both have quality and we will need to see it now.
  10. Same here, on both counts, yet this option is available to me.
  11. Why continue to discuss this? The results of the poll are quite clear.
  12. Slightly pedantic, yes. It is, however, something you choose to pay. Nothing will change until you choose not to pay.
  13. We've already been over this. It is not taxpayer funded.
  14. Why can't Bill just accept that the B.B.C. is Hitler, that he is Neville Chamberlain and that Pete is Winston Churchill?
  15. I really hope this succeeds. Imagine the torment among the afflicted!
  16. The match after the red cards tells you all you need to know about Morelos, McKenna and their respective importance. We were struggling without Morelos and Aberdeen never missed McKenna. One is irreplaceable and the other was completely expendable.
  17. What a match! Thought we were done for in the second half. When the chance fell to Defoe you knew what the outcome would be.
  18. Had to laugh listening to the commentator. Think I heard him say Morelos shouldn't shoosh the Aberdeen fans. Wonder what he said after some of the Celtic goal celebrations at Ibrox.
