match thread (image) [FT] Rangers 1 - 1 Blackburn (Defoe 30)

Too late to stop the rot. The time to sack him was at half time in Gibraltar. Suppose we'll just need to put up with drawing friendly matches until Dave King grows a backbone. -
What Filip Helander will bring to Rangers...

Football fans will read, and circulate, it regardless. -
The Spring & Summer 2019 Transfer Rumours Thread

Is he any good at defending against counter attacks? -
Couldn't agree more. Almost makes me glad that Pete has posted this thread so that we can discuss, at length, how crap V.A.R. is.

Euro QR4 Draw: Legia Warsaw/Atrimitos v FC Midtjylland/Rangers
ranger_syntax replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
St Josephs are through, yes? -
Stewart playing off the striker, yes. Suspect he is wasted on the wings. Besides, we have loads of wide players already. Aribo might well be a box to box midfielder but I think that he will play furthest forward in a midfield three. Reason being that we don't need him to play further back. I might be wrong but I see Stewart as being signed so that when Aribo is out we are not forced to play without an attacking player between the midfield and forward line. I should add that Aribo's role would likely change in more difficult European matches.

I hear different opinions about where Stewart plays. Where do you think he plays?

Aberdeen 'reject £5m offer' from Celtic for Scott McKenna

Yes, would like a few of them to stick around to witness what is about to happen to them. -
I thought that Stewart was signed to be a reserve for Aribo.

Why do you hate Jon Flanagan?

Don't think we will be playing a settled midfield/attack this season. We will have the option to play two different formations depending on available personnel or opposition. We can go with 4-3-2-1 similar to the end of last season. McGregor Goldson Katic Tavernier Flanagan Davis Kamara Jack Aribo Arfield Defoe Alternatively we can go 4-3-3 with two wide men McGregor Goldson Katic Tavernier Barisic Jack Kamara Aribo Candeias Jones Morelos In addition to these two choices we obviously have the opportunity to rotate the midfield (Kamara, Jack and Davis) and the wide men (Jones, Ojo, Hastie, Murphy, Candeias). Aside from the left back position I don't think we have anything to worry about with all the names above.

What is it about these pictures that so many find so captivating?

In my opinion it's a speculative investment. We put the Rangers brand in front of people in a country where interest in football, and disposable income, is growing. I also think that there is a market over there that is different to the European one. Consumers in China won't necessarily make decisions based on the quality of football. I've been over there a few times recently, and know a couple of people who have been living over there, and it surprised me to learn that some Chinese people already knew about Rangers. With regard to 'shoring up support in this country' I think that we already spend the overwhelming majority of our budget on that. Easily at the stage of diminishing marginal returns there.

I suspect the club have a little bit more imagination. I doubt they are looking for a player. How much do you think the club invests in this venture?

How would you measure the success of this venture?

Are these two things mutually exclusive?
