This is a great result. We've just beat the form team in Portugal home and away. Europe keeps delivering emphatic signs of our improvement. Realising that we were in no danger of losing our lead to Porto with 15 minutes to go was really good. This is even better.

Kent showed some nice technical ability there.

People need to remember that Edmundson is still young and needs to be managed carefully. He can be forgiven for a couple of mistakes. But he needs time to develop and should probably do so while out of the firing line for a while yet.

Edmundson made a mistake in both of the games he played. Miss the highlights?

A couple of points. 4 is too many to carry but it also might be too many to drop. Also I did notice Ryan Jack having a go at the defence after the first goal yesterday.

That's been the case for as long as I can remember. The team has to take one of two approaches and stick to it. Either we continue always leaving it to the fullback or we always go for the quickest possible throw in. I'd like to see us try the quick approach but then the spfl only use one ball for some reason.

I'm afraid we're not going to press to the extent required with a 60+ match season. We definitely need to start moving the ball quicker. One touch passing started to resurface against Braga when we realised how much pressure we were under in midfield. Why don't we see it in the SPFL? It's quite depressing to watch. If you count the touches each time you tend to reach 3 and conclude that nothing is going to happen. While our players dwell on the ball the opposing team assemble into a line of 4 and a line of 5.

Katic and Goldson were both poor again. I'm honestly not sure what Katic was attempting for the St Johnstone equalizer. Gerrard brought Edmundson in for a couple of games but he made a couple of mistakes. That's fair enough since he is clearly fourth choice and neither cost us a match. This leaves us with a problem though. Gerrard will find it difficult to manage the performance of his central defence until Helander becomes available again.

I was hoping that Kamberi would start on the left today. It's clear that Kent needs to be taken out of the firing line. His form is attracting more criticism with each game that passes.
