  1. Don't get me wrong Frankie, Under normal circumstances I would like to see Faddy at Ibrox, but for that kind of money( fee and wages ) we could go a long way to solving our midfield/centre half problems. I suppose there is every chance that, if it's true, there could be a player(s) plus cash deal being done. Miller, Cousin and some money maybe? I could handle that.
  2. If true, why spend that much money on ANOTHER STRIKER who isn't a prolific goalscorer? He has a bit of craft and the odd big goal in him, but there is no way we should be even contenplating spending 6 million plus on a player we clearly don't need. Sebastian Larsson( ex Arsenal ) their right sided midfielder also wants away. He would be a much better option and would give us far more value for money.
  3. Well lads, it's as we expected......THEY'RE STILL S***E AND LUCKY. Even with all his main players available( I think ) and given all our woes at the moment, they are still no better than us. A home game against St Mirren( no disrespect ) and they toiled, big time. All is not lost............NO SURRENDER.
  4. Agree totally mate. Read an article a couple of days ago, sorry can't remember where. It said that the group that was invited to the Q&A, spoke for the majority of Rangers fans...........Aye, okay then. Ignorance truly is bliss.
  5. Seemingly there is no sign of this on any of the main Pool forums. Also, Liverpool have an abundance of excellent centre halves.
  6. I still think there is plenty of managers who would jump at the chance to manage Rangers, just not the real top class ones. The main worry for me would be, who decides who the next gaffer should be? SDM? Bain? Or would watty even have a say? Potential candidates: Davies(available) Burley(There would be a civil war if we poached another Scotland manager. Maybe he has a clause in his contract) Mowbary(doing a good job at the Baggies. Play some good stuff, as did his hibee side) Macallister(Relatively inexperienced, but knows how the game should be played) and finally Guus Hiddink, alright I know. But one can dream.
  7. I voted yes.
  8. Nice one Cammy. This is gonna be interesting.
  9. Fortunately my wife understands about such things. She should, It took me long enough to educate her. Bless her.

I think you can level that criticism at a number of our players mate. Our overall technical ability as a squad has been pretty poor IMO. We found it nigh impossible sometimes to perform the most basic football skills. Some of our passing and ball control this season has been almost laughable. I know what you mean about Boydy, for i myself have moaned about his lack of footballing skills, but i think plenty of other players should be looking to improve in that area also. PS. I'd keep him.
  11. I'm not fussed either way. I think the guy is in a lose-lose situation if/when he does come. Plays poorly and he'll get it well tight. Play well and score a few goals and they'll lay off him for a wee while, but as soon as he puts in a poor performance or misses a sitter, alot of fans will forget all the good he may have done and give him absolute pelters. I doubt if he'll ever be accepted by the majority, irregardless of any positive things he achieves at RANGERS.
  12. I'm happy with that. His experience and his ability to play in a number of positions could be invaluable.
  13. Excellent read. Not one word of support for the fans from SDM, what a surprise. My contempt for that man is immeasurable.
  14. Given our financial restraints at the moment, i don't think european success should be looked upon as a must for us. A decent run that puts money in the bank would do for me, anything over and above that would be a huge bonus. League titles is where it's at for me. Firstly, it would keep that shower of scum in their place, 2nd. Also, the added bonus of going straight into the CL(more often than not) and the £10 million plus that comes with it. I think there's more than enough good quality players that are available at a decent price, that would jump at the chance to play for RANGERS and help us win domestic honours and have decent european campaigns. Here's one off the bat. Stuartgers has Zoltan Gera from WBA down as 5 million. He's out of contract and we can get him for..........are you listening Wattie?..........NOTHING. An excellent right sided midfielder, who scores his share of goals. A no brainer IMO.
  15. I think your getting decent odds for Portugal and Ronnie to be top goalscorer. Gonna stick a fiver on it. So, Portugal for me.
  16. I'd defo have young Stevenson from hibs. I think his natural position is left midfield, but can play at back if required. McGregor....PLEASE GOD, NO. Gutted if he leaves. I would take Steve Davis the snooker player rather than keep Koozan. I'd take Shittu also. Strong and Quick. Misser and Pete. Both a big gamble. Hope for their sake they hit the ground running(and scoring).
  17. Personally, I'd rather spend the extra and go and have a sniff at Fletcher from hibs. If he does make his way back to IBROX, the pressure is going to unbearable. One lack-lustre performance or one missed sitter and he and Wattie are going to wish they were on the other side of the F*****G galaxy. I think for everybodys sanity, he'd probably be better signing for Stafford Rangers.

    Steven Davis

I'd have him in a minute. If we're going to get the best out of him, we have to play him in his natural position, centre of midfield. When he plays on the right, he looks so much better when he drifts inside and looks for the ball. Getting involved, passing and making things happen is his forte, not going by players and crossing. Buy him Wattie, but FFS play him in proper position and get the best out of him.
  19. Not got the physical presence or aerial ability to be top centre half IMO. Has turned out to be a very reliable left back. If we can teach him to show a wee bit more composure and quality in the final third, we'd have a top quality player on our hands. Smith, Papac and Kinniburgh. That should be left side of the defence sorted for a while. F**K me, I've just realised that PLG did do something right.
  20. If every signing shows the quality and commitment to the cause like Davie Weir did, I'll be well happy. Good luck to the big man, wherever he ends up. As for Webster, agree with the lads. If he can't stay fit then punt him. Dailly i'd liked to have kept as a dependable squad player, especially given the amount of positions he can play, done a good job for us. If it's not be, then he gets our thanks and best wishes for the future.
  21. Point taken mate, but we need some footballers on the pitch and not just players who can head a ball. We need a bit craft, a player or two who can make something out of nothing. That been (IMO) a major failing of ours this season. We used to rip the pish out of the scum for being exactly that. A team of big guys who relied on set pieces and the long punt up the park. Unfortunately, that's what we've become.
  22. Is wee Fleck not away at the u17 Tourney with Scotland? I know it's not been BFs best season but there's more chance(IMO) of Barry coming up with the goods than McCulloch. After a promoising start, he's been really poor and done nothing(IMO)to justify getting a start. I understand what your saying about Barry, but at least we've seen some glimpses of what he's all about. I very much doubt if WS will 'go for it' anyway, it's just not his way.
  23. Even though we must make sure of the three points against the Saints and hope that the arabs do us a turn on thursday, I'd still like us to go out on to the park with the 'fuck it, let's go for it' attitiude on Tuesday. The over cautious, defensive gash that we've been pumping out for large chunks of the season has 'almost' certainly failed us. It's now time to throw caution to the wind and give it a go. We have got players that can score goals and plenty of them at that. After all and no disrespect intended, it's St Mirren and if we get our team selection and tactics right, we have got the capabilities of giving them a right doin'. Unfortunately, i think WS will settle for an ugly three points and hope DU do us a favour. I know I should wait until the match preview, so i'll apologise in advance. This would be my team: .........................Alexander....................... ..........Cuellar.........................Dailly.......... Whittaker.........................................Smith .........................Thomson........................ Novo...................Fergie.....................Buffel ..................Darche.........Boyd.................. Reason for CD in beside CC is that he's got more pace, therefore we can play that extra ten yards or so further up the park and force STM to play more of the game in their own half. Need our full backs to get up the park and contribute offensively as often as possible. Something that has rarely happened this season. Please Walter, GIVE IT A GO FFS and you never know. We need at least 0-5 to put that wee bit extra pressure on the scum. NO SURRENDER, WATP.

The tims are work were trying to say they weren't bothered. BOLLOCKS! You could see the agony etched all over their bitter mugs. Of course the whistling of a few well chosen tunes probably added to their utter despair.
  25. Time for Watty to get on the phone to his old mate, Sir Alex.
