Bobby Williamson has international experience; wouldn't mind him.
I agree Alex. He has also won several bits of silverware at international and club level. A free agent now too after leaving Uganda in April there.

Appointed as manager of Sheffield Utd. Destined to be a manager IMO. Should be a future Rangers manager, but I guess that Everton will come calling if he makes it a success. If we were in our rightful place he would good for us now, though I always think it a good idea for a prospective Rangers manager to learn his craft somewhere else. Ex-players would be my choice. Currently we have Billy Davies, Derek McInnes and I'm struggling to think of others who could be Ibrox managers in waiting.
Contrast that with the Tims who have Hartley, Coyle, Collins, Roy Keane ,McKay all having served their time somewhere else.
Maybe Barry Ferguson might fancy a crack?
McKay maybe an ex-Celtic player but he is not Celtic minded(i know you didn't say that mate, i am just saying). He would have been good for us a few years back, now though he is out of our reach.
There are quite a few ex-Rangers players who are managers just now, either in a job or not. Ian McCall, Frank de Boer, Bobby Williamson, Gus MacPherson, Terry Butcher to name just 5 off the top of my head. Gattuso as well is starting out as a manager i am sure. Van Bronckhorst and R De Boer may well fancy a crack at management in the future.

Cracking job to start out. Maybe a bit too big, i hope he doesn't sink. Best of luck to him.

Not sure if it is true or not, but I heard his salary is whopping £200K per annum. Although the same person told me it was £100K when he first got the job.
Either of those figures are ridiculously high. Yet again, our club and fans are not getting value for money from a staff member.

There was a report that he had accepted an invitation to the NARSA convention but wanted one of his brothers to come along and for NARSA to pick up the business class ticket for his brother as well, when they refused he declined the trip . This seemingly came from a NARSArep , any more than that ..?????If true, a poor show from Jig.

Or..... We might be contributing to his salary whilst he is over there......
I think there is a fair chance of that.

I actually can't see that these Spanish second division strugglers pay him that much. Then again, maybe they belong to that bunch who don't pay tax and insurance either ...
They won't be but we will be. He is our player, we have to honour the rest of his contract unless he agrees to rip it up. I have no idea what he is on at Rangers but i can't see it being less than £15k a week. When he was loaned out i can imagine Green saying we would still pay a portion of his wage as long as Santander took on the majority of it. Same with Goian. My guess is we were paying a part of both their wages which will both be considerable. I think it's best if both move on asap.

Why not?
Because he is a poor manager and a very dislikeable guy. It's just my opinion of course, i don't like him.

Can't believe Rangers fans are defending Strachans ability. He is a terrible manager and a horrible classless person too.

I don't see the point in us having anyone in their 30's on a big wage.
What about McCulloch and McCoists desire to keep Alexander? Then there is Goian too. I would get rid of them all if it was up to me, including Boca.

If Klinsmann is still giving him hope what's he to do?
Klinsmann is just being respectful to an outstanding professional. It would be daft to close the door on anyone in case of emergencies but i think Boca honestly knew his days were numbered some time ago.

And to think that he chose a Segunda Division strugglers in an attempt to retain his USA-international status ... in vein. You'd hope that Boca sees reason, accept that Klinsmann has moved on and joins up for our revival and hopefully some more silverware next season.
You would have someone in our squad on between £15k and £20k a week?

I don't see Strachans proven ability at all. His biggest success was at a club who spent 50-100 times what all their rivals could, hardly a level playing field. He has had one decent result for Scotland against a team who never bothered to turn up and you have him spoke about in terms of Rangers manager, c'mon. Failed at Coventry, Southampton and Middlesbrough. He is a poor football manager and a horrible little arrogant chip on his shoulder clown. I do agree McCoist won't make it long term but Strachan is not the answer.

Very good point and we can't blame ally for that.
Who at the club is responsible for putting a scouting team together and delegating them tasks?

It's as if our club can't be bothered. I understand and appreciate we have other issues and many of them but my goodness, the business is all about money and merchandising can be worth so much. This is one aspect where the club are falling way behind others.

I disagree with Nicky completely here. I can see us wiping the floor in this league. A year on, proper pre season, stronger squad, manager a years more experience. I am expecting a very good and very exciting season.

I don't know them so I am no judge but many say they are just gangsters.
Depends how you define gangsters.

By all accounts they are Rangers men. Is it bad to have one more vote. There lots of other crooks hovering around the Club.
Better the crooks you know than the ones you don't.
Anyway, I'm sure they will be squeaky clean because the press are going to be all over them from today.
The accounts I have heard is they are Morton fans.

Very poor. Think of all those summer holidays thousands of Bears would love their strips for.

That is beautiful.

The mhedia don't like people standing up to them.

Maybe we wait till we see the actual figures before we start being worried? Hardly anyone of us knows what the current squad earns on average, nor what sort of income we'll generate till the end of the year.
No i think it is very safe to assume we cannot afford to carry this bulging squad. Bodies need to go and quick. Gone are the days of £30m/£40m/£50m turnovers. The longer it stays like this the more we have to eat into the IPO funds which should not be happenening.

A NARSA official will be able to confirm the story one way or the other i am sure.
