Is McCoist going to do the decent thing now?
Super Cooper replied to Ser Barristan Selmy's topic in Rangers Chat
No idea why he is allowed to speak to the press. He's been digging holes and suffering from severe foot in mouth for the last few years and still he is allowed to speak to them. The man is an embarrassment. He has no shame. -

I'm not going if he's still in charge, despite my attendance at the Gersnet Dinner the same day. I don't see Killie causing us any real bother and Alloa is away anyway i think. After 2 victories he may well get out of jail again and some fans anger may have died down somewhat. A home league game next Saturday would have been the perfect indicator. -

The next attendance at Ibrox could be our lowest in over 30 years. -

Anyone would be an improvement. Anyone. Pick names from a hat and it would still be better than what we have. -

No, too much money to be made. This is not about the good of the club, it's about how much he and his pals can take out the club. Ruined us beyond repair. -
It didn't have to be high quality though to create that "special" atmosphere, intimidating home arena and bank them £3m every full home match. It was genius from McCann. Pundits love it, players love it, the SFA favour it, kids think because it's the biggest it's the best. As you say, it was volume play. A blinder.
-
Not enough ambition though, Fergus McCann fair put him in his place with their new redevelopment of C.P. Not keeping up with them there and off the park has cost us so much over the years. And we are still feeling it today. It was all very well throwing tens of millions at Advocaat to win the big one but look how that panned out. £4m was our standard fee for almost everyone.

He was a Rugby man who knew next to nothing about football. He borrowed and spent his way through 20 odd years in charge.

'Celtic been used over living wage', says Peter Lawwell
Super Cooper replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
"We do so much, but we can't change government policy." I don't believe him. -
Should have been sacked after his attack on fans after Berwick.

Which 2 or 3 players would have gave us £18m? Negotiating transfers has never been our forte. God there was talk of Davis leaving a year or so before for only £3m. McGregor valued at £4m. Our best player in years left the club for around £4m with only £1.5m up front. You take Davis, Naismith and McGregor out of our team and we don't win cups or titles. That is 3 top players crucial to our club. I don't believe there is any defence whatsoever of our state then. It was a shambles. Administration was on the cards for a while, running at a huge loss was the norm and meltdown was only a year or two away if we had no European football. Whyte took over a club who was running at a £10m loss right away, before a ball was kicked. A £30m + wage bill.........it was simply unsustainable. He then had the cheek to offer a couple of huge contracts and spend nearly £5m. That was only ever going to end up one way. European elimination should have seen immediate downsizing. Instead that b@stard increased our operating costs. Rangers had been crying out for a clued up on football owner. Someone who could have us living within our means and hire and fire intelligently. As Walter said many times, when he needed a player he phoned the chairman,. He then phoned the bank and a deal was done. No working harder, doing better, expecting more, just we will spend and sign our way out of whatever mess were in. That to me is just wrong.
-
No. We were an absolute mess, only league wins and a few European campaigns got Walter out of jail.
-
Walter spent almost £40m in his second stint and seen our debt for from nothing to £33m back down to £18m. Of course he spent money we didn't have, that was how Murray operated.
-
Shocking from Smith simply looking after his pal. He should have been man enough to admit he made an arse of it by recommending Ally.

Neil Lennon: Sectarian abuse triggered Celtic exit
Super Cooper replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
Liar. He left because Liewell wouldn't let him spend money. His team was sold apart and the club refused to allow him to buy quality replacements. -
I would do all I could and everything in my power to harm them whilst trying my hardest to cover it up and not get caught. And I don't consider myself as hate filled or bigoted as old school allegedly oppressed and persecuted Irish bigots. Fwiw, it was Merlin the bringer of truth who claimed he had interviewed Fullerton and was given proof that he has nothing to do with Rangers account at LBG.

You know what i mean, there was never any way on Gods earth the board were going to go for stuff like that.

Simply unrealistic from Kennedy, that was never ever ever going to get accepted.

Classless.

If we need another loan before December you will be right, if not, you are wrong. Time will tell. Ashley has gave us enough to get through till Xmas. It's surely upto the clubs lifeblood to keep our club alive after that? We can't keep getting loans or expecting rich men to bail us out.
