How does that hurt us? We'll probably have a better chance of finishing the game with 11 men on the field.
-
That's a bit too much pressure, don't you think?

So, one should consider them separate entities then?

That sucks. What is happening to society in the U.K.? The Blue Sea of Ibrox 4 hrs · ? Gary McAllister attacked. Gary McAllister has been attacked by a yob in an unprovoked attack while waiting for cab with his wife in Leeds, the Rangers assistant was punched in the face and fell to the ground as his wife fought to pull his attacker off him. Resulting in Gary requiring 10 -12 stitches. Both are said to be shaken up after the incident. /Michael

Back in the day the number on the player's shirt designated his position. Ergo ... 1 goalkeeper Ritchie 2 right back Shearer 3 left back Caldow 4 right half Greig 5 centre half McKinnon 6 left half Baxter 7 right winger Scott 8 inside right MacMillan 9 centre forward Millar 10 inside left Brand 11 left winger Wilson The centre half played between the right back and the left back, with one or both of the inside forwards joining the half backs in midfield. Eventually this evolved to one of the half backs( usually the RH) playing behind the centre half as a sweeper, with the other half back joining both inside forwards in midfield. This was Sir Alf Ramsey's, he managed England to their world cup in '66, preferred formation - 4_3_3.

Vanguard Bears @VanguardBears 16h16 hours ago More A huge well done to all Bears and Bearettes who turned up at today's protest despite horrendous weather conditions. You're a credit. Irrespective of lower than anticipated protest numbers, our point has been made. We will not accept biased reporting from the BBC.

Manchester City set up fund for Bennell abuse victims
barca72 replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
Man. City - respectful, unshrinking and courageous in their actions, finally. Celtic - shameful, secretive and showing cowardice which is a trait wherein fear and excessive self-concern override doing or saying what is right, good, and of help to others or oneself in a time of need—it is the opposite of courage. As a label, "cowardice" indicates a failure of character in the face of a challenge. -
... but he can score goals, right?

That was a lovely strike from Candieas and midfield are looking really good. I hope that fan has not disrupted the team's rhythm. -

Brendan Rodgers ready to 'launch bid' for Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos
barca72 replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
I think Morelos and his agent wil be aiming a lot higher than Leicester. It smells more like Brenda is giving his pal Liewell a hand out to mess with Alfie's head. We'd be hard pressed to challenge them without Alfredo. However, £25M could buy us a real good midfielder and a different type of centre/goalscorer. -
Only fullback that could genuinely keep Jimmy Johnstone in check.

Stuffy game but fair result. Jack was off today. -
Why don't you ask the media or BBC pundits to supply you with that songsheet then you can be sure you wont upset anyone? It appears their choice is more important than the singing fans' choice!
-
I hope you are not comparing the OO(a religious organization, relatively trouble free), with the RC church which sustains and protects child abusers and is currently looked upon as a cult. The fact that the SMSM talks more about the rangers fans singing, in their eyes, sectarian songs than publishing in-depth investigative articles about child abuse in that cult does not help your argument. They are not similar organizations, hence they should not be directly compared in a discussion. And no, my opinion here is not intertwined with the OO because it doesn't advocate for anyone to sing at the football. I don't think that the "sectarian/bigotry" problem is any different than it has been in decades. The only difference is in the way it is being reported - a lot more biased - in paper, radio & television. The longer this imbalance of treatment continues the longer the problem will be maintained. Closing down a few '******' songs here will only work if an avalanche of IRAoke sungs are acted upon at the east end and whenever their fans travel. They tried to kill us so I don't think the dignified silence will work anymore, however, if the field gets levelled a bit then so too will attitudes to singing and self-policing will prevail.
-
I don't think the fans who sing about ****** bastards are asking you or anyone else to sing about them either, so you can make your own choices without pressure. I assume they would appreciate the same choice. I believe that there is a famous principle in a fan base that has survived for almost 150 years - 'Those that don't know their past will not know where their direction is for the future'; or in the vernacular - 'No Surrender'.
-
Maybe without these fans the club will be left behind. These fans PAY to get into the ground to enjoy their game, most of the people complaining are armchair critics. This has been shown to be true with songs, soldiers on the park on Armistice Day game etc. The fans don't need to be treated like children or cattle herded around. The club should be encouraging an enjoyable experience for the fans. After all they've been around for nearly 150 years and I'm sure when they feel self-policing is required they will deal with it. They did in my day, what's changed?

Highly suspicious when this 'Rangers hater' turns on his own kind.
