I would love to hear this podcast just from the comments from people who have heard it. Unfortunately, it forbids access from this location. I even tried accessing through itunes but they have not posted it there yet. I wonder if anyone can record it and post it to that 'cloud' site.

You're right. King has already stated that he will not be proferring all of the investment required. He has intimated that it would be more like a 50-50 split with T3B and others. He has also stated that he does not want to see Rangers under the control of a single person again, and that he welcomes fan investment.

I disagree with you on this one. I think we need to win, and win well to dispel any lingering doubts about our own abilities, if for no other reason than our own well-being. We have Motherwell coming up next and time is short.

Impossible to prove your conclusion. Both of the men quoted have scored goals in other games. But that is football opinion.

Here they come, the SPFL boys, one after the other claiming that the BBC are 'entitled' to pay them more using the %age of licence-payers as argument. Keep going boys that stance will work. Quite apart from the fact that they have been without a sponsor since their hastily engineered league was brought into effect, and that the biggest %age of monies is vacuumed off by the east end team, maybe there are other reasons that they are not doing well ... a) an utterly abject and talentless executive. b) for the most part an utterly forgettable product on the field which is very poorly marketed. c) everybody wants to ignore the fact that their brightest star is languishing in the lower leagues, and until they admit to that fact and start to make amends for that fact, the truth is they will continue to be impotent. d) they seem to have accepted the perception that Rangers will return to the Premiership next season and hence they will have games worth marketing again, and therefore the BBC will be 'entitled' to pay them accordingly. e) they seem to have forgotten or just can't deal with the fact that they need to re-interest the life blood of the game, i.e. the Rangers support. This is a support - well, in my own case - which gave up interest in teams who tried to kill us, except when they stood in front of our forward progress. Their flagship team managed to attract, Att: 6,984, in Perth last night ( I wonder how many people actually knew they were playing last night ), they will be lucky to attract twice that at all other games today; Rangers will attract more than twice their total figures on Sunday. Four years ago Liewell said that he wanted to dominate Scottish football. Well, he's doing that. However, just what is it he is dominating - a sea of green bums on seats at C1888c park? Who cares? Hell, even the SFA promote the game so well that they won't allow the general public entry to the Youth Cup Final! So Mr. Mulraney just what is all this public whining about? Are you attempting to bring on board an apathetic support base to empathise with your cause or is it really a plea for Pete to step up and produce a new broadcasting contract that we will never get to know the details of? You made your bed, you know how that goes. However, Rangers only need a few £M pounds invested in the playing staff for the next couple of seasons and they can kick-start the gravy train again. Now you've got the idea Rab. Through appointments to the different boards and committees, this board of Rangers can show strong leadership and perhaps remove the incompetents. We must not reward mediocrity.

Instead of getting rid of broadcasters why don't we sweep clear the executives from both the SPFL & the SFA and start from scratch? Anybody got any ideas how we could do that?

Why would DK not consent to a FAPP test? The game in Scotland today belongs to the cabal. That means that if we don't want to be handicapped in some way by the cabal we have to recognize and concede that it is their game and their rules. I think that the bit of steel that the board exhibited in playing a blinder for a £5:00 ticket in the upcoming game against QOS shows us that they know how to play the game with the cabal in charge. Why would DK give them a reason, down the road, to throw any obstacles in his way? Why would DK have requested a court's approval of his ability to be a director if it was not to outflank the cabal? I don't think we have to worry about DK's ability to pass this FAPP test, the delay is probably because Pete-bhoy and the big fat pen-pusher want to know information about DK that he is not prepared to share with them - but that is just an opinion. If you remember back to the interview DK did at the airport when he arrived for the EGM - and I can't find it on utube or google - he more or less said that this season was a goner whether we got promoted or not. Nothing would really happen until the season is over. Funny how things are starting to come together as the season comes to an end. I think we will find out in one big rush just who our chairman and CEO will be, who will be in control of the playing side of things and just how much money is to be invested in the team. I must say that it is refreshing that the board are doing their work in the boardroom and not in the media. I know, ST time is fast approaching but I think all will be revealed in good time for the upcoming season. You can say all you want Rab, and you're perfectly entitled to your opinion, but for now this guy is all that we've got. If we don't support him where do we turn?
