  1. Before a ball is even kicked, they're getting ripped-off. We wuz robbed ... http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/easyjet-rip-off-cost-glasgow-6340220 EasyJet rip-off: Cost of Glasgow-Amsterdam flight increases by 152% within minutes of Celtic drawing Ajax in Europe
  2. There's quite a bit of difference between getting your arse kicked in public and showing victory in public. Because they, who are previously discredited on multiple occasions, will not admit that they were wrong does not give them the right to claim victory. Why are you so ready to cede them a victory based on their reporting of the situation?
  3. No, we are being magnanimous. Kind of like, ' behave or be sent to the corner, scrote. '
  4. In his job he will get more results if he believes in the product he is trying to get sponsored. How much belief can anybody have in an SPFL run by Doncaster et al? Now Rangers, there is real potential there !!
  5. Each side has to report this interaction in a way that allows them to retire with a bit of dignity. Fair enough. Do you honestly think that what was reported by the discredited BBC is what they actually said to Rangers' board? This organization had to report on our last games while watching a BT or SkyTV broadcast. That says a lot about their ability and credibility as a national broadcaster. The BBC self-imposed their boycott of staff reporting from Ibrox. They could not be seen to be ending that boycott without getting Rangers to restore scrote's status. Do you think that in that meeting with our board they dictated the agenda or do you think they were asking for a return to normalcy having conceded that their man was in the wrong? The board have seized the initiative and have put our detractors on notice. Normal boundaries of criticism and opinion have been set, but push those boundaries at your own peril.
  6. What an embarassing comedown for the BBC. To have to give assurances to, and show respect to, a club they once treated as just so much flotsam. Rangers have demanded respect and limits from a national broadcaster in full view of the public, and they have complied. Scrote appears to have been made very puny and irrelevant in comparison. Well played, board.
  7. The only reason I threw him in the mix was because I watched their game the other night and he and Gordon were the only two players that they had that were worthy of the CL stage. He was pacy, direct and lively. I can't say that he does that consistently.
  8. James Forrest, maybe?
  9. Along with Rapid Vienna fans, and F.C. Sion fans. I don't know if it is possible for them to draw all three teams in their group. It would certainly give the games an edge.
  10. Not according to this guy - the Bolton Blawbag ... http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/neil-lennon-backs-celtic-boss-6330271#rlabs=1%20category Neil Lennon backs Celtic boss Deila to recover from Champions League nightmare: Ronny will roar again 12:37, 27 August 2015 Updated 12:37, 27 August 2015 By Record Sport Online THE former Hoops boss says that his successor can bounce back from this week's painful defeat and make an impact in the Europa League. NEIL LENNON has tipped his Ronny Deila to recover from his Champions League nightmare and lead Celtic to success in the Europa League. The Bolton boss extended sympathy to his Hoops successor after they crashed out of the elite competition at the qualifying stage for the second successive season. Lennon failed to guide Celtic to the groups in his first season, going out to Braga, although he went on to reach the knockout stages of the competition in 2012/13. And while he believes Deila will be hurting right now, he is sure the Norwegian will bounce back. Ahead of tomorrow’s draw Lennon told Sky Sports: “I went through it in my first year and it is a bitter pill to swallow. “But Ronny’s a young manager and he will get the backing of the board – there’s no question about that. “He needs to pick the club up and I think he’ll do that. “But it’s never easy qualifying when you’re four or five games into your season while Malmo are three quarters through theirs. The fitness gives them a slight advantage. “Now they’ve got the Europa League and maybe they can do something in that. “But it will take a couple of days for everyone to get over it. It will be sore for a while but they are good enough and have the players to do really well in Europe.”
  11. Here's the CL draw. How many points do you think they would have gained? Full draw: Group A Paris Saint-Germain Real Madrid Shakhtar Donetsk Malmo FF Group B PSV Eindhoven Manchester United CSKA Moscow Wolfsburg Group C Benfica Atletico Madrid Galatasaray FC Astana Group D Juventus Manchester City Sevilla Borussia M'gladbach Group E Barcelona Bayer Leverkusen Roma BATE Borisov Group F Bayern Munich Arsenal Olympiacos Dinamo Zagreb Group G Chelsea FC Porto Dynamo Kiev Maccabi Tel-Aviv Group H Zenit St. Petersburg Valencia Lyon KAA Gent
  12. This year's CL seeding for the draw ... Pot 1: Barcelona, Chelsea, Bayern, Juventus, Benfica, PSG, Zenit, PSV Pot 2: Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Porto, Arsenal, Man Utd, Valencia, Bayer Leverkusen, Manchester City Pot 3: Shakhtar Donetsk, Sevilla, Lyon, Dynamo Kiev, Olympiacos, CSKA Moscow, Galatasaray, Roma Pot 4: BATE, Borrussia Monchengladbach, Wolfsburg, Dinamo Zagreb, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Gent, Malmo, Astana Before anyone asks, Pot 1 contains league winners. It almost makes you wish that they were still in the competition, they would be slaughtered.
  13. I think we could handle just about anybody in Pot 1, and leave them to Hearts.

  15. Some light relief from numbers ... 'Look at the state of that tap': Celtic fan so angry at result he rips his shirt off http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/look-state-tap-celtic-fan-6322607
  16. As a progress guide, how about Hearts in the next round?
  17. The reality is that we can expect no help from Scottish football. Liewell wanted to dominate Scottish football and he got his wish - the result has been abject failure on the European stage. He has vacuumed most of the talent from around Scottish football to bolster his ranks and the result is a disaster, for his team and other Scottish teams. The level of competition in Scotland has been eroded and this is being exposed in Europe. Celtic have been exposed as a team with very little quality and value, period. As Warburton says, with respect to other teams, Rangers will worry about Rangers. When we win we will pull the rest of Scottish football along with us - at both club and international level. That is how the co-efficient will rise, and hopefully give Scotland more than one successful team in Europe.
  18. Same insult, really.
  19. You are making good points, BH, but I don't think it makes much difference what they do. They have been very poor ambassadors for Scotland. No matter when we get ourselves re-introduced to Europe we are going to have to start from the bottom and work our own co-efficient higher. We have experience of doing the hard work on our own, despite Japanese tours.
  20. Pete, They have told us themselves four years ago that the old firm does not exist, that they can go through life independently. As Warburton says, they are just another 3 points. He's not been here long enough to know better.
  21. Malmo deserved to win. Them had no real belief after their goal was chalked off. Gordon really kept them in the game with four or five big stops. Their best outfield performer was Forrest, pacy and direct. Broon is finished, he looked slow, cumbersome and was easily bypassed all night. Showed no leadership at all. Commons when he came on was an irrelevance. Mulgrew was easily beaten on quite a few occasions and if he gets the call at left back for Scotland, Lee Wallace can feel aggrieved. All in all a satisfying result. p.s. for about the last ten minutes the Malmo crowed were loudly singing - Why don't you go home !!!!
  22. I was going to comment on Gordon's brilliant double save, but since the good guys have scored from the resultant corner I'm satisfied with that. Malmo 2-0
  23. 42 min. goal by the bad guys from a corner knocked off. Don't know why it looked perfectly good.
  24. 1-0 the good guys !!!
  25. Feel your pain, brother. We watched it for three seasons. Hope your heart holds out long enough to get yourselves a new coach and start the recovery.
