  1. It can't be done, Ian, if we do not want to give them the opportunity to levy severe penalties up to and including removal of the club's licence, in my opinion. They have proven before that they would proceed with heavy penalties. 33. Participation in a Cup Tie 33.1 Clubs eligible to compete in the Challenge Cup Competition shall be subject to and shall comply with both these Articles and the Challenge Cup Competition Rules, as amended from time to time. 33.2 Failure by any member to comply with Article 33.1 shall be deemed to be an infringement of these Articles. 33.3 All members eligible to compete in the Challenge Cup Competition, shall so compete in the Challenge Cup Competition. 33.4 Failure by any member to comply with Article 33.3 shall be deemed to be an infringement of these Articles. 35. Club Licensing 35.1 Clubs in full membership or associate membership of the Scottish FA or in membership of an Affiliated Association or an Affiliated National Association, as the case may be, shall comply with the requirements of the Club Licensing Procedures. 35.2 It shall be for the Licensing Committee to determine, in the first instance, whether:- (a) a club has complied with the requirements of the Club Licensing Procedures; and (b) to grant, suspend, refuse to grant or withdraw a Club Licence (on such terms and conditions as the Licensing Committee thinks fit) and, if a Club Licence is granted, which category of Club Licence to grant to the applicant club, provided that the determination of the Licensing Committee will not be final and binding, and clubs will have the right to appeal against any determination made by the Licensing Committee to the Judicial Panel in accordance with the Judicial Panel Protocol. 35.3 The Judicial Panel will have jurisdiction to deal with any club which fails to comply with the requirements of the Club Licensing Procedures and/or any terms and conditions imposed by the Licensing Committee, and to impose such sanctions upon such club for such failure as are prescribed within the Judicial Panel Protocol.
  2. A good statement which has gone as far as it can at this point. It has zeroed in perfectly on the seriousness of the lack of attention to player safety, while at the same time highlighting the parochial approach of the SFA of focusing their attention on mere monetary items. The SFA(and/or the cabal) are once again reminding us of their dominance over us and their complete disdain to any reaction we may have to their justice. The next step, however, will be extremely difficult to negotiate. Registering our outrage will have no effect on the SFA and yet it would seem that the club has to be bold in its actions now to achieve any satisfactory movement from the SFA. It may be that external arbitrators may have to be established to bring about a solution which is seen to be satisfactory to all concerned. What will that do to the present bridge-building efforts, I wonder?
  3. Right, first order of business is to sharpen up against Linfield then ... numb the thumb!!
  4. What about big fat paper pushers who authored the five-way agreement etc. - and their paymasters?
  5. I opine that one big fat paper pusher has assisted in the acuity of these 'notices of complaint'
  6. What if there are no CHs in our price range out there?
  7. I understand the frustrations of our journey in the last four years and also the indignities thrust upon both the club and the support by the despotic actions of the authorities. However, this talk of starting at the bottom of the English leagues may be a bit too much. Have you had a look at some of the teams in the lower reaches of the English leagues? Where are such places as - Braintree Town, North Ferriby Utd, Boreham Wood, Solihull Moors, Sutton United & Forest Green Rovers? I never knew such teams existed nor where they are geographically located. I think most people would agree that by the time we had been promoted back to the premiership this year, the adventure of visiting every last pokey wee ground in Scotland was wearing thin. Now this. I just don't see us having a travelling support after ten seasons of traipsing around these places, assuming we get promoted every year. Surely, we are losing sight of the raison d'etre of being a Rangers supporter. Winning, enjoying the atmoshpere at the game, maintaining the culture for future generations. Anyone who is taking their child or grandchild to the games right now would have to consider that that child would be in university by the time we got back to big-time football. No RSC would go to all of these far-flung outposts on a regular basis. Then there's European football- where the real riches are(?), how many supporters would tolerate not having CL games for ten to twelve years? And of course, if we progressed up the leagues at a different rate to our east end neighbours, what would we do without a few seasonal derbies? Maybe what is really required in Scotland is to work hard towards effecting real change in the game by causing the present cabal running the game to be ejected and bring in new blood who can effectively inject real money and ideas into the game to give it a proper boost. Changing the geographics of the game does not necessarily mean we shall cure the problem.
  8. Do you mean this one? ...
  9. I must say, dB has the inimitable ability to cause a person to utter to oneself - 'oh sh*t, caught again !', don't you think?
  10. If I may say so, you are an extremely negatively-mediocre supposed fan of this supposed mediocre team. If you don't mind me saying so, that's putting it kindly.
  11. Can they play Roberts against Man City?
  12. Didn't see much success in their team today.
  13. That's what the big American trialist did for us in Charleston. He commanded the air and tackled anything within a reachable distance. His distribution was terrible, maybe that's why he got pulled when Wilson came back on.
  14. well done, that's the proddy way!
  15. They really do believe that the terrorists they associate themselves with can be characterized as freedom fighters. I guess a person can convince themselves of anything.
  16. Celtic fans ‘could be arrested if they wave Palestine flags’ Celtic fans could be arrested under controversial Scottish legislation if they wave Palestinian flags during their team’s clash with Hapoel Be’er Sheva. Celtic host the Israeli champions in the opening leg of their Champions League play-off tie this Wednesday.Members of the Parkhead faithful have planned to bring Palestinian flags with them to protest the Israeli–Palestinian conflict. The club have previously been fined by Uefa for fans displaying flags during a European tie, but it now seems the individuals responsible could be landed in hot water themselves. Police Scotland Superintendent Alan Murray told The Scottish Sun: “At every match, police will monitor the behaviour of the crowd, including any flags or banners displayed, and make a judgement on whether there is criminality and take the appropriate action.” Though carrying the flag of a foreign nation would not be considered in breach of the Offensive Behaviour at Football and Threatening Communications Act (Scotland) 2012, the nature of Celtic’s opponents could mean the flag waving will be interpreted as “stirring up hatred against a group of persons based on their membership (or presumed membership) of a group defined by reference to a thing mentioned in subsection (4)” which includes “nationality” and “ethnic or national origins”. 17. Police Scotland used photographic and video evidence to arrest, charge and convict Rangers' fans after their conduct at the SC final at Hampden. This picture, and no doubt others, is very clear and facial recognition should not be a problem. What will be the reaction and actions of Plod, I wonder? After all, these fans were well warned by Plod before the game as to what would happen if this kind of conduct was observed.
  18. Agreed, we're missing his running.
  19. This report is from the Sun. Neither Police Scotland nor any club official from the Dundee clubs have commented on the source of this graffiti. You are willing to blame, and out, Rangers' fans without proof. You'll remember the Arab fans' reaction to Thomson in the summer? Guilty until proved innocent !!
  20. Thanks for your service, but bye, Kenny ... https://www.facebook.com/TheIbroxLoyal/videos/186671628417005/
  21. Apart from the board at that time, who do you think supported their appointment?
  22. Take Naismith back in a second if it was not for his mouth in TV interviews !!
  23. Who is it you are trying to villify here? What could you or I or any of the millions of global supporters of Rangers have done? Lambias and Leech were a set-up from day 1 and were pre-accepted by the board at that time, so who do you want to blame? Personally, I'm just glad King and the 3-Bears came along, eventually !!
  24. Good tie for us in mid-week to keep us on our toes before we play the sheep on the 25 Sept.
