  1. Undoubtedly, but are they changing for the better?
  2. I agree with your overall premise, but remember no one can do it all on their own. For myself, I agree with the previous poster who said MOH has the pace to bother their defence. I think (but I'm not MW), MOH has done enough to start.
  3. Thx for that. I don't get to listen to these shows very often. I'm sitting here having a beer with an Italian, a Portuguese, a Venezualan, an American and myself. They couldn't believe that last phone call at 17:25. Comedy gold. The point is, it doesn't matter where you come from everybody knows we are the same club - except the numpties it would seem.
  4. Just because he isn't scoring doesn't mean he isn't producing. How many assists did he have against Linfield, some of them were laid on a plate.
  5. And then what? You'll be able to watch teams whose names you can hardly pronounce on TV. What happens to the match day experience then? If you can't feel the atmosphere, mingle with fellow supporters, enjoy the sights and sounds within the park, what's the point? My wife and I attended the Charleston Battery pre-season friendly and with everything included it was close to $2000 (that was a one-off treat). How many away games will the average supporter be able to attend whether it's logistics or cost? At present most can probably cope with one or two trips for a European tie and that is something to savour and look forward to. I watch the Super Bowl, the World Series, the Olympics etc. on TV, but for the rest of the year who cares? The TV companies and their money are destroying the game. May as well go watch Cambuslang Rangers, because a day out at the fitba' won't mean shit.
  6. Undoubtedly. The question is, can he impart such qualities to his players?

    Taxi!!!

LOL ! The wine tasting good tonight, Pete?
  8. Everybody has, and is entitled to an opinion, on Ally. Let me ask one question. Who among us as a support, and remember how we felt about trusting anybody after Whyte, would have backed Rangers with ST renewals if Ally did not give his blessing to Green? That one period alone may have made the difference between our club surviving or not. As we now strive for fifty five, Ally and this argument about his supposed greed will matter not a whit in the years ahead, Rangers the club are all that matters. Ask C1888c about that come Saturday night. WATP.
  9. I have the intuition that this game revolves around Halliday negating Broon, just as he did in last year's semi final of the cup. Whether we like it or not Broon is their inspiration. Take him out and they are there for the taking. God, it's almost as if Halliday shot his bolt that day and has been unable to inspire since then. C'mon Andy, it will never be more important than this Saturday.
  10. The issuance of this verdict indicates that the court does not believe two police officers, one an Inspector no less. It also sets a dangerous precedent for parallel arguments in the future - e.g. "I did not flick the v-sign at the crowd and I did not call them dirty H**, o****e bas****s. "I can prove this as I attend the Presbyterian Church every Sun. morning, where I was baptised at 5 years old, and I teach Sunday school in the afternoon. I am a volunteer assisting the local Lifeboys and Boys Brigade units. Further I assist at the local food bank." This is an absolutely astounding verdict based not on law it would appear, but purely on the subjective opinion of a sheriff. Especially when that same sheriff is given an insight into the character of the accused when he convicts him on a cocaine charge.
  11. The game experience just seemed a whole lot simpler and more enjoyable in those days.
  12. e.g. ... The Drive For 55 - Alive and Well.
  13. Ran onto the park as an eleven-year-old to get his autograph. Scored a few good goals which I vaguely remember.
  14. Got to make a run to the airport, will re-engage later.
  15. Who controlled the 'root and branch' before the haters took it over? What has been done can be undone, however, not overnight. Yeah, I guess we should feel like you and your little clutch of acolytes, i.e. tuck tail and run for this virtual financial Utopia out there where we will be welcomed with open arms and showered with wealth the likes of such has never been seen before. When you all produce such a place maybe you can add weight to your fantasies.
  16. Then why are you answering? As to your second sentence, I am not convinced of the veracity of that statement.
  17. Not worth answering.
  18. You don't get what Struth is saying. Where does -"we shall emerge stronger because of the trials to be overcome", enter into your scenario? What you are advocating is a pipe dream. Do you think there is one league in Europe who don't know our story? Do you think that the problems that beset us, mostly led by the east-end PR machine and the Scottish MSM would go away if we moved to a different environment? I presume you don't intend to move Ibrox, so the obsessed will still be in attendance no matter where you go. Where would we find this benevolent overflowing financial environment? China, I hear they are investing huge amounts of money into the game? Good luck getting a decent bus load of supporters for a Tuesday night away game in that league.
  19. I'm assuming you are a reasonably young person. I'm also assuming that you don't fully understand the heritage of Rangers. I'm quite aware that times have changed since I was a young 'un, however, like everything else 'times' go in cycles. I don't know if you are aware of the guy who made this speech ... "I have been lucky — lucky in those who were around me from the boardroom to the dressing-room. In time of stress, their unstinted support, unbroken devotion to our club and calmness in adversity eased the task of making Rangers FC the premier club in this country. "To be a Ranger is to sense the sacred trust of upholding all that such a name means in this shrine of football. They must be true in their conception of what the Ibrox tradition seeks from them. No true Ranger has ever failed in the tradition set him. "Our very success, gained you will agree by skill, will draw more people than ever to see it. And that will benefit many more clubs than Rangers. Let the others come after us. We welcome the chase. It is healthy for us. We will never hide from it. Never fear, inevitably we shall have our years of failure, and when they arrive, we must reveal tolerance and sanity. No matter the days of anxiety that come our way, we shall emerge stronger because of the trials to be overcome. That has been the philosophy of the Rangers since the days of the gallant pioneers." ... I'm also pretty sure that that guy's attitude is still pretty prevalent among the support today. My God man, you are advocating that we should tuck tail and run. What a heresy, what an attack on the sensibilities. Rangers don't do walking away !!
  20. Oh, F*ck that, get yourself a box of tissues. We had the bragging rights, they wanted them, we fell asleep through apathy, they took them. Now it's up to us to regain them. You ever heard of 'No Surrender'?
  21. Any competitive match is good preparation. If today's game helped KM get his timing back and he scores just one against next week's opponents then today's game has been worth it.
  22. Thought we said we were not going to have any more pics of Neil Lemmon on here !!
  23. Same again, please ...
  24. Then why is he priced so much higher than Efe Ambrose?
