That's for another day. Right now enjoy what you're watching.
-
Wait and see, they'll be blaming having to play such a hard game on Saturday for being tired tonight. Suck it up, buttercup.
-
My God man, he's condemned it - what more do you expect him to do further?
-
HT ... No effigies, no goals. p.s. their formation is either 5-4-1 or 5-5-0, I wonder if Messi will describe this as anti-football.
-
That'll do nicely.
-
justice is done ...
-
I agree. Since the SC semi final Halliday has taken his baw and went home, and the energy of the midfield with him. Mind you, Holt would be a welcome return.
-
It wasn't so much for its scathing content, it was posted to highlight that their actions actually are getting a wider audience this time.

Exploring the fundamental dishonesty of Scotland's sectarianism industry
barca72 replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Is that true, Rab? It would certainly allow plod and the stewards to say that they found nothing in their search of the fans going in to the game. It also allows that club to push the line that they did not know what the fans had written on their banners because they only rent them the storage space. It matters not a whit that the club is responsible for everything within the confines of the stadium on match day. Cunning, deceitful, sly - choose what fits. -

http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/celtic-chief-peter-lawwell-launch-8823647 Celtic chief Peter Lawwell to launch probe into derby shame scenes but says: "We’ll deal with it privately and properly Lawwell tells us - "We’ll deal with it privately and properly". It shouldn't be up to him how it is dealt with. Do we not have a compliance officer, and authorities that can enforce the rules of the game. Surely they should be citing consequences to be faced by that club. The arrogance of their board to think that they can dictate to the game how this will be handled. -
There is. We took them in, fed them, gave them a chance at low-paying jobs and encouraged them to work hard and do well for their families. They did, and well done them, and now their generations of off-spring are well-educated and well-trained. Now to solve the problem, encourage them to go back to where their true loyalties lie. We'll keep those who would rather be a citizen of the U.K. than Ireland.

Their statement ("Spokesman")- even worse than predicted. Absurd
barca72 replied to SteveC's topic in Rangers Chat
This press release by C1888c is no more than a statement of intent on their part. There is no ... a) recognition of sectarian behaviour, b) admittance of sectarian behaviour, c) contrition for anyone who may have been offended or hurt by these 'events', d) apology (to apologize you have to admit a wrong. To admit a wrong would require you to take responsibility for the situation.). These are the actions of a club which is arrogant enough to believe that it is untouchable. For the life of me I can see no bridge being built anywhere by anybody, be it a club or an organization. -
from Sky twitter ... Sports Scotland @ScotlandSky · 1h1 hour ago #Rangers statement - "The Club’s Directors are fully aware of the disgust felt by Rangers supporters who were subjected to a sickening and shameful display of outright sectarian hatred towards them. We also share the fans' anger and will be contacting Club 1872 as a matter of urgency.”

Looks like, for once, that the MSM are covering this story. I am so glad the Rangers support did nothing significant on Saturday to deflect away from their actions. http://www.heraldscotland.com/news/14738028.Police_launch_probe_into_hanging_effigies_described_by_Rangers_as__sickening_/ Police launch probe into Parkhead toilet damage and hanging effigies at Celtic v Rangers Old Firm derby Police launch probe into hanging effigies described by Rangers as "sickening" Police launch probe into hanging effigies described by Rangers as "sickening" 13 mins ago / Martin Williams, Senior News Reporter / @MWilliamsHT POLICE are investigating who was responsible for Parkhead toilet vandalism and the creation of hanging effigies which marred the Old Firm derby. Police Scotland confirmed they are looking for those responsible for the two hanged plastic dolls, one with a Rangers scarf around the neck, dangling above Parkhead at the start of the match in which Celtic beat Rangers. The have confirmed that they are looking into the damage to the away section toilets of Celtic Park. Pictures on social media showed dozens of roof tiles and lights smashed and cubicle doors broken while the game was also tainted by sectarian singing and distasteful banners. The two effigies with arms tied behind their backs with black tape and hung from a noose next to a banner reading: “This is it bhoys this is war”, could be seen at the start of the live TV coverage of the match as the players took to the pitch. It was World Suicide Prevention Day. Herald Scotland: Assistant chief constable for justice and support Bernard Higgins, said: "The overwhelming majority of those who attended the Celtic v Rangers game behaved responsibly and appeared to heed the advice given in the run up to the fixture. "What is hugely disappointing and frustrating is that a minority of individuals behaved in a manner which has no place in our communities, football and modern society and which has resulted in Police Scotland carrying out investigations to identify those responsible." Herald Scotland: A Rangers spokesman said that the effigies were a "disgraceful and sickening" display and said he hopped attempts would be made by police to find those responsible. "It was a vile and insensitive stunt which, understandably, has attracted widespread condemnation," said the spokesman “This was a new low but there were other unacceptable images which were also deeply offensive to Rangers supporters." At the weekend a Police Scotland spokeswoman said no criminal complaint had been made about the toilet damage and the matter was currently being dealt with internally by Celtic. Herald Scotland: After the sell-out match police praised the behaviour of the majority of Celtic and Rangers fans.

... on page 183 ... Unacceptable Conduct at a Stadium on the occasion of an Official Match ... jump down to bullet ... for Official Matches which have been designated as “All Tickets” and / or where the Home Club has issued tickets to the Visiting Club to sell to its own supporters:- o the Home Club should take names and addresses and obtain consent to the disclosure of same to the Visiting Club of all those to whom tickets for the visiting support area are sold by the Home Club; o the Visiting Club should take names and addresses and obtain consent to the disclosure of same to the Home Club of all those to whom tickets for the visiting support area are sold by the Visiting Club; and o the Home Club and Visiting Club should exchange details of those to whom they have sold tickets to the visiting support area if requested to do so; ... absolutely no reason that this information can not be used by the plod to identify anybody committing unacceptable conduct. Sure, it might mean extra paperwork for the clubs and sure, the plod will have to actually do some work, but the tools to catch these people are already in the rules. Why doesn't the SPFL demand of C1888c just exactly who filled those seats and/or standing areas where the sectarian banners and effigies were? Are any of these organizations, SPFL,PoliceScotland or the clubs, serious about curbing sectarianism? Also there are sections about preventing unacceptable banners and objects from being carried in to the stadium. A person can appreciate that there is a huge problem in delaying such a large crowd from entering because of searches, but it's the same area and the same group of fans who display these banners most of the time.

http://club1872.co.uk/news/club-1872-calls-for-ibrox-ban-for-celtic-fans/#.V9aIa93aRkY.twitter Club 1872 Calls for Ibrox Ban for Celtic Fans 12 September, 2016 Club 1872 has reviewed pictorial and video evidence of the disgusting behaviour of sections of the Celtic support during the Old Firm game on Saturday. In light of this, we have today written to the Rangers board requesting that they ban Celtic supporters from Ibrox until Celtic can prove that they have taken substantive action against the Green Brigade and other overtly sectarian elements within their support. The Green Brigade has been cultivated, encouraged and rewarded by Peter Lawwell and the Celtic board for many years. So much so that at the beginning of this year they received their own standing section within Celtic Park. This is despite regular displays in support of active terrorist groups, anti semitic displays and sectarian displays. At the Old Firm game on Saturday the Green Brigade displayed sectarian banners which read “Kill All Huns” and “Know Your Place Hun Scum”. They also displayed banners in support of the IRA. This follows on from similar banners at last year’s Scottish Cup semi-final. They were joined by other Celtic supporters, in a separate part of the ground, who hung effigies of Rangers supporters with their hands tied behind their backs and ropes around their necks. These displays were disgusting, threatening, sectarian and criminal. The groups responsible are easily identifiable if the will is there to do so. The reaction of both Celtic and Police Scotland has so far been pitiful. They have been joined in inaction by the Scottish Government, media commentators and anti sectarian campaigners who are conspicuous by their absence. It would appear soundbites are only of value when those on the receiving end of offensive behaviour wear green. It is bad enough that our travelling support is subjected to such behaviour but it is another thing entirely to invite it into our own stadium. Peter Lawwell and the Celtic board have failed to act for years on sectarian, anti semitic and pro terrorist groups in their support. We believe the Rangers board has a duty to ensure that these groups of Celtic supporters are not permitted entry into our home under any circumstances. Since we do not expect any action from Celtic, the only way to ensure this is to ban all of their supporters from Ibrox. We would also remind our own supporters that damage to the toilets at Celtic Park will only see a financial penalty for our own club. The fact that this also happens at every Old Firm game at Ibrox is no excuse. Supporters should remember that in everything they do they represent Rangers and should act accordingly. Go f*ck yourself, Spiers. There is nothing you can say that is in anyway believable to the Rangers' support. Oh, and you can tell that to the 'good' C1888c fans too. That much hate coming from that culture will eventually destroy itself from with in. I am so proud of the Rangers' support in not becoming overly exuberant in their reaction to such premeditated sectarian displays.

Today hurt, and badly. However, I can't help dwelling on the words of Mr. Struth ... " No matter the days of anxiety that come our way, we shall emerge stronger because of the trials to be overcome." As poor as the squad did today I think the only way is upwards and onwards. I think there is enough talent in the squad(except perhaps at CH) that we shall reset and recover. If they didn't know what being a Ranger meant before today I'm sure they are in no doubt now.
-
They better have after that display today.
-
This is an officer of @policescotland who threatened to arrest a Bear for asking him about the sectarian Hun banner
-
Well we did touch the ball, but it was just enough to give it back to them.
-
The ball never left Dembele's foot and Senderos had no idea that Sinclair was behind him, and hence was not concerned about two attackers. I was trying to be kind when I said - 'the rest of the defence' - because Kiernan didn't arrive until the ball was passed his outstretched leg and in the net.
-
In the first twenty minutes we had no answer to their very high upfield pressure We constantly gave the ball away. This may have contributed to the mid-field looking insipid. On the first goal we were outnumbered in the group lining up for the corner and of course their extra man had a free header (been happening all season). The second goal Kiernan gave the ball away and what was left of the defence couldn't stop a single runner. The third goal, I thought was a touch off-side, killed it. The heads went down and the game was over. They say our squad is worth a little over £2M and theirs is somewhere over £10M, then the added value showed. It was something else though. This team today had very little passion, drive, will to win or desire to fight for one another. There were a few periods where individuals did alright, but an overall team effort was missing. It was noticeable that their best player, especially in the first half, was the one who missed the penalty in the semi-final which clinched that result - Rogic. Maybe he had something to prove. Apart from all the lessons to be learned from this game, maybe the players will learn that if you are going to win you have to want it first. Turning up is not enough.

Uuuurrrghhhh. Complete capitulation.
