  1. Poor effort. See more energy in a peanut butter sandwich than was on show here tonight.
  2. Many of us said this about MW. I wonder if Pedro can make a silk purse out of this sow's ear.
  3. Cringeworthy display, completely irredeemable.
  4. Would you rather have what we have right now or be further down the league? Baby steps, brother.
  5. FS, that must sting for you and the rest of the 700. I empathise with you.
  6. I think you did right, Ian. I think we have to be aware of what is being said about us out there otherwise we are setting ourselves up for another blindside attack. I would not have known about this if you hadn't posted it. I think that this Director of Communications that the club advertised for should be , like Trump, very conversant with twitter to take these guys head on and let them know we are not prepared to let sh*t like this slide on by without challenging it.
  7. Best player at Ibrox, Sandy Jardine Apr/1972 first goal in first minute to beat Bayern Munich in the ECWC semi-final.
  8. Maybe too old for some, but Bobby Shearer and Geordie Young.
  9. That picture is both powerful and pathetic at the same time. It shows his gratitude at the support and the reality of his condition. God bless Fernando.
  10. Hell, there'a too much Hockey etc. to keep the Canucks happy. This was Peter's wrap on the knuckles, and gift, for last year's cup final win. A typical spoonburners crowd, about 5k.
  11. https://www.sportinglife.com/football/news/scotland-draw-with-canada/47971 ... "... and some boos accompanied the final whistle." No doubt Chesney will use that excuse to install all 6 C1888c players in the next game.
  12. LOL, after 30 min. Scotland 0 - 1 Canada Fraser Aird 11'
  13. Well, we thought Kenny & Clint were over the "hill" too. So who knows.
  14. I hope you're correct about the courts loathing, however, it is worth noting that we live in different times in today's world.
  15. Watch the highlights and when you see the camera view looking towards the goal, which is what Madden sees, you'll see the ball change direction. If the ball had continued straight towards goal then Madden would have had to make a decision. However, since it did change direction and from Madden's position, behind the play, he can't be sure it was anything other than contact by Hill and hence he can't call a penalty.
  16. 48 hrs, mmmmhhhh, heard that somewhere before.
  17. Here are the goals for anyone who hasn't seen them yet ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vyXX9GNrkHU
  18. Why would Dundee want to bail out Thompson ... http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/39133188 Dundee United: Club records £1.55m loss following Premiership relegation 8 hours ago Former Dundee United boss Mixu Paatelainen was sacked after the club was relegated from the Scottish Premiership Dundee United have reported annual losses of £1.55m, following their relegation from the Scottish Premiership last season. The club received £1m in transfer income after the sales of Nadir Ciftci, John Souttar and Ryan McGowan. But United's revenue fell by 21% to £4.61m through reduced prize money and match-day attendance income. The club say they expect to make £1.5m in cost-savings this season as they bid for promotion from Championship. Administrative costs rose during the period by more than a third to £1.8m. The board say these were mostly football-related as the club took steps to avoid relegation. United sacked two managers in that time, parting company with Jackie McNamara and Mixu Paatelainen respectively. The Terrors are currently second in the Championship table, seven points behind league leaders Hibernian. A club statement read: "The latest annual accounts show the adverse economic effect of a season of poor football results which led to eventual relegation. "Revenue dropped by 21% to £4.61m through reduced prize money and the associated drop in match attendance income related to sitting at the foot of the Premiership from October 2015 through to the season end in May 2016. "Broadcast revenue was also down as the club featured in fewer live televised cup games."
  19. HT Hamilton 1-0 Sheep Devlin(9 min) God-awful to watch. Rooney did hit the post with a header at the 20 min. mark. Mostly one-way traffic from the Sheep and Hamilton giving it the big punt out of defence. Cringeworthy to think we are in third place behind this mob. McInnes can stay where he is if this is his best effort. 79 min. Sheep goal offside. 84 min MacKinnon (Ham) sent off - second yellow. Corners 20 - 0 for sheep. FT still 1 - 0 Hamilton. Poor finishing by the Sheep. Seen this movie before with the Gers.
  20. I'd take Ronnie MacKinnon over Roberts, other than that a good selection.
  21. Any business organization would normally accept, adopt and portray the personality and characteristics of its leadership. Not only are we pitifully bereft of playing talent, but we are being exposed to the complete lack of dignity and respect to the paying public that is being exhibited by those in charge of Scottish football. Money, not a job well done, seems to be their mantra.
