  1. Its not that I dont want to know amms - my above arguments are purely around the fact that I dont think that the unknown shareholder is either Craig Whyte or anyone connected to him. Yes I would like to know - but I also recognise that there exists an obligation that an investor has the right to anonymity should they choose. Dont you think that the revelation or persecution of anonymous investors to be named, particularly when it is built upon scaremongering, has considerable potential to damage our club with regard to future investment ?
  2. I simply dont buy that Zap - but its all about opinions. If the investigation had been hampered by non co-operation I would expect that to be detailed nor would I expect to see the word "thorough" in there. Furthermore given the leaks which were gushing out of our club had CG refused to co-operate I think someone would have shouted.
  3. Which means this very public statement by a reputable legal firm is a lie or at the very least being very economical with the truth.
  4. The point I was making Zap was the RTC promulgated material that was also, to use your wording "ligit". Can I ask you with you thought it would be a sham ?
  5. More about the motivation behind such leaks Craig - I always look for the motivation in everything.
  6. Well its matter of choice Zap - Id rather base it on that than a set of papers circulated by an unknown person (s) to cause maximum damage to our club.
  7. Well ask yourself this amms - do you really believe that if that excerpt was authentic - then the SFA would have been satisfied with the investigation to such an extent that they decided not to launch their own ?
  8. That some of us - particularly other message boards I may add - are jumping to conclusions when there is no rationale, in fact I would not be surprised if some encouraged it, particularly when such hysteria arrives at the conclusion Whyte is behind these investors.
  9. Reading some of this stuff is like re-reading To Kill a Mockingbird - Boo Radley is about to jump out on us. I fear hysteria is taking hold of us and preventing us from exercising common sense. Some appear to have forgotten Pinsent Masons have undertaken an in depth investigation into allegations of links between Whyte & Green and found them to be totally without foundation. Furthermore the SFA, who had the option of launching their own investigation into these allegations, decided the Pinsent Masons enquiry was satisfactory. Now when I raised these points on a message board this morning, not for the first time when dealing with this subject the allegation that Charles Green failed to co-operate with this enquiry was thrown at me - thus invalidating Pinsent Masons enquiry. Now I have heard this allegation before but never had its source confirmed or substantiated. When I enquired where allegations of non co-operation were coming from no-one could provide a definitive answer - no links, no sources, nothing. The only suggestion, which appears to be the original source of this allegation, is that such an allegation was in some of the Charlotte Fakes.
  10. Like any good pantomime villain he will need to check his lines first with his Director - Peter
  11. Lets leave the haters out of it for a moment Andy and instead turn our attention to those who have paid for a service and expect it to be delivered with factual reporting free from personal feelings - Aunty Beeb seems to be failing on these basic fronts and thats before we move onto that which you describe as "special" Perhaps failing those who once would have cast a favourable eye towards Aunty Beeb represents a greater danger than that posed by people such as Shapps.
  12. A strange world indeed Zap. Our ambition and objective is to get up the leagues and play alongside those who hate and despise us.
  13. You and several thousand others Amms. I wish we could re-wind time and take that option...
  14. Whether you or I are offended by it or not missed the point SBS. We were told the motivation behind the legislation introduced to deal with such singing was a desire to eradicate sectarianism and bigotry - having opened Pandora's box they now need to ensure that such legislation is applied in an even handed manner.
  15. As usual Andy an excellent and thought provoking post. One could be forgiven though, despite your ""old leftie" claims, that you rub shoulders with the top Tories given what has been released today.... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-24690002 But the whole debacle over Spence was interesting and shows the ongoing failings within the organisation which may well prove to be its death knell. There is no doubt that the Savile crisis has done considerable damage to the BBC. Their failure to investigate matters properly and take appropriate action is now a matter of public record and has resulted in serious erosion of public confidence. But they continue to make the same mistakes. The recent BBC Scotland inquiry into Spence's most recent verbal gaffe highlights this. Whilst they admitted the presenter could have used clearer language he was cleared of any deliberate wrong doing. What is totally unacceptable is that they did not consider any of his previous outbursts in their weighing up of the allegations. Do they not think that the evidence in their archives which reveals the under investigation presenter commenting " I dont care what any Rangers fans say - this is a new club" was relative and worthy of consideration in their latest review ? It demonstrates that the latest outburst by Spence was not an isolated incident - but in fact part of a series of conduct which is misleading, erroneous and for which their own organisation is being used as a platform for such views to be espoused.
  16. PLG I noticed in another thread on this subject the current board were asked for a similar type meeting. Did they respond and if so can you elaborate on what they said ?
  17. The more I read from either side Frankie - the more I form the opinion that really its all about King and which side he decides to ally with.
  18. Gives new meaning to the term..."poisonous chalice"
  19. I would be surprised, forget that shocked more like if it was revealed that the person behind either of those companies was Whyte. Dont forget Night Owl they (The SFA) have also stated they were happy to accept the conclusions of the Pinsent Mason investigation re alleged links between Whyte & Green which determined they could find no link between the two of them - if the SFA had accepted that knowing Whyte was behind either Blue Pitch or Margarita then their position would be simply untenable.
  20. I think the major concerns Tom stem from rumours which have circulated that a certain Craig Whyte might behind these investment companies.
  21. In that case its obviously not - otherwise he would have already been swamping messageboards and the press with titbits about his the individuals work with disadvantaged children in Africa etc etc
  22. Would you not be satisfied GS if such revelation was limited to a confirmation that the persons behind these investment companies was not CW. Would that not suffice ?
