Well you have outlined your plan - but you have added a caveat throughout the thread that you dont want those with a criminal past involved. So does that then exclude King ?

GS You have failed to address the issues which Frankie raised earlier in this thread re alternatives/contingency. Frankie is not alone in questioning the logic of individuals calling for a boycott, failing to either take responsibility or offer alternatives given that the likely consequence of such action would be admin 2 for our club. The other problem you will have to contend with is the lack of both visible and vocal leadership from King. When did we last here from him and what are his intentions ? Is admin 2 his end game plan ? If so do we have cast iron guarantees that he will, in such a situation, finally launch his bid for control ?

The Right Man At The Wrong Time - (latest from McMurdo)
D'Artagnan replied to Zappa's topic in Rangers Chat
That "Matherising" must be a real concern given the no. of CEO's we appear to have succumbing to it. Perhaps they will eventually find a cure for it. Utterly shameful article for a Rangers blogger.- 59 replies

Do you think pmu that the boycott would have been more successful had King been more visible/vocal throughout this period ?

Fan board elections now closed as of Saturday 20 September
D'Artagnan replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
I'll tell you what for me is heartening about these 2 candidates - they are connected to the fans & frequent forums such as this one & others. You know from that you are getting Rangers supporters who care about the club outwith 90 minutes on a Saturday afternoon. -

Well it had to happen some day R...one of us would make a post that the other was entire agreement with. Notwithstanding the effects of any explosions I think both of them display the strength of character and probity required for such a position. -
rbr That comment is like an illuminated compass, giving hope and direction, in a journey which has been shrouded in darkness.

Im not dismissing it - but I would not use either of those organisations as a credible source regarding our club given their respective history. The only thing that surprised me about that story was that Green actually charged him a quid. I doubt there has been a more vulgar, profiteer in the history of our club.

Notwithstanding my displeasure with the current board, given what has transpired in the past, and out of respect to this site, dont you think it would be wise to temper and edit the accusations you have made in that last post ?
-
In that case SBS you have far more optimism in the ability of our current board than I do.

Im glad you appear to be keeping such a meticulous record of my posting history. But you see when one is in a commercial deal with Celtic FC, and is running stories about Van Donkey being "cheated out of titles" due to EBT's despite the fact they were not in operation during his tenure at Celtic, as well as the previous editor (Rennie) trying to recruit those fine chaps responsible for the RTC for a regular column, And the other runs sensationalist documentaries which lack balance and objectivity, publish details of confidential tax dealings of our club which was evidence stolen from the Tax tribunal, continually refer to our club as "new" until the BBC Trust had to adjudicate otherwise, allows its presenters a platform for their own personal hatred of Rangers, Then yes...I will treat anything they say with a considerable pinch of salt.

Which of course are utter bastions of journalistic integrity and accuracy.

Why is there so much hatred towards SOS, UOF etc?

Perhaps we should re-name this thread............. "Why is there so much hatred of other forums?" -
Letham gives Rangers extra time to repay £1million loan
D'Artagnan replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
There has been an over tendency to lock threads on RM for a while now - I think its an attempt to clean up its act following constructive criticism from a few of us.. Im not au fait with how moderation works but it exasperates me when threads are locked due to the idiocy of others. I dont know why they just cant delete the offending post and issue warnings to the offender. -

Dont you think that a considerable element of that vote was a presumption of guilt over EBT's ? -

Yes it is. But Id rather have the occasional unedifying and unacceptable comment than be restricted in what subject matter I can read, because it doesn't happen to fit with certain people's opinions or agendas. -

I think that illustrates the danger of labelling an entire forum as this or that. -
Id much rather as a collective, we managed via our FO mechanisms, to wrestle control of our club back to those who care about it.

I obviously cant comment on youre own subjective experience on there SC - all I can attest to is my own. Like any forum you have a few hard core regular posters who have strong opinions, however that does equate to the majority view. -

And just what is "the party line" GS ? I havent had any negative feedback from anyone when I have highlighted current board failings. -

On a forum which has several thousand members, albeit considerably less active users, I dont think one moderators view and 15 likes suggests widespread support for the board. Whilst it may very well have it faults, at least RM allows free discussion without the need for censorship of that which doesn't "tow the party line." Just ask Andy McKellar. -

Assumptions ? Pathetic ? Spare me youre nonsense. Who you are is totally irrelevant to the discussion - I really couldn't give a monkeys. In post 126 barca has listed some of the reasons why in his opinion our fan ownership models have failed to make significant inroads into our support. I would cite others which I have discussed with plgsarmy on previous occasions privately, and which the RST in particular souight to address by way of their Information Days. -

Well if you want to lay "quite a bit of the blame" on others rather than address the issues - fill your boots - but taking that option will keep you out in the wilderness. -
