  1. Especially when you call yourself a live long Rangers supporter.
  2. Not really. But honestly, this would be a lot more acceptable than anything else. As for the increased capacity plans, it's a nice idea. But I have to wonder if Green shouldn't start worrying a bit more about what's going on in the present or foreseeable future of our club instead of talking about making Champions League last 16 on a regular basis. This is all moonbeams afte all isn't it.
  3. The only way to make this deal work is by increasing the income. Not sure if Green had this in mind when he stated that.
  4. We will, but what about the young lads going for the first time? What if they read that sign saying Random Company Name Ibrox Park? A friend of mine took a subway in Hamburg and overheard this talk of two rather young HSV supporters. The one says he's excited about going to HSH Nordbank Arena while the other one reminisces about the "old days" when it was called AOL Arena. Just saying if kids go to a renamed stadium, that's what they'll call it.
  5. I see what you mean. I'm no big fan of this Cinderella story talk either. And taking a fast move upwards for granted is dangerous, I have to agree. What was the issue with them? I must've missed out on that.
  6. That's how most of the outside world sees it though. Regarding the problems with Rapid you mentioned, Rapid Vienna that is?
  7. I still can't warm up to this. Having Ibrox in a new name really is a cold comfort.
  8. Just in Scotland mate, or the whole of Britain in worst case. Rest of the world is more Rangers friendly due to our eventual comeback.
  9. Come on this is just a few inferiority complex shaken fans of a minor club trying to have a go at the big one. Not to be taken seriously.
  10. Good point but I don't think this gets any close to somebody doing this job full time, rather than just advising the board.
  11. An intermediary person between buiseness and football should really be thought about. One eye on the pitch, the other one on the numbers. Nearly any professional football club employs somebody with that function as far as I know.
  12. How could we pay him with that wage bill
  13. Absolutely. Alexander and Jig for their age already. Once we get up, they'll simply be too old and that's not even speaking of performance.
  14. Certainly is a possibility. Especially since what players to buy is largely a managers part.
  15. Definetely mate. The question is, why did we not acquire players who will cost us less wages if we're not taking said players into the SPL anyway. Could have saved us a lot of money I reckon.
  16. Having an SPL track record doesn't mean they will look fine when playing top level in 3 years time. Put into the SPL right now, I'd say at least 7 or 8 out of a common Rangers starting XI would be lost.
  17. Actually I think there are not many players in our squad who are ready to play SPL or SFL1 level to be honest. At least not at this point.
  18. Great article. Unfortunately, nobody cares about facts here. That's the nature of a with hunt.
  19. Also, any football club should advice it's players not to use this. A lot of them seem to be too dumb to handle it responsibly.
  20. Twitter is so stupid. I wonder if the lads who created it had an evil plan of creating a platform that prompts people to make an arse of themselves. Just like that Barton/ Hamann thing last weak, laughable.
  21. Come on, this is really not as scandalous as media makes it out to be. Just masks after all. It's not that funny but I wouldn't go as far as calling it "inflammaotry". That's a bit sensitive isn't it.
  22. It is a contradiction and really a bit of a letdown. The club did nothing to increase the wage bill recently did it.
  23. I'm still ambiguous about selling naming right but I see things more positively now. Whether or not it's worth the amount of money (which is still unclear as the whole issue) has to be seen. This still sounds like rumours so we shall see when the deal's been done.
  24. I've been against this initially but the more I think about this move, the more I fancy it. Quite tempting actually.
  25. I quite like that piece, good read.
