DR tomorrow: Easdale interview & Ibrox naming rights sold for £1
pmu replied to True_Ger_1872's topic in Rangers Chat
And a "few less" is about the worst thing that can happen as it just leaves the life support turned on a little bit longer.. Either the fans back the club to the max or not at all and conclude this sorry mess.. -
Might be the tipping point some folks are trying to achieve with boycotts etc etc.

My prediction and that shared by many others is, if the share option fails to reach the 75% buy in, the fans will be blamed for not buying enough ST and putting the directors in this position, then the shareholders will be blamed for not bailing them out and the outcome will be "we needed to do a deal on the training ground/ cheap deal on naming rights to get us out of trouble, we are a good shiny new board"* Well yes Craig that was the kinda obvious outcome predicted by many as you were hatching your st boycott plan. It was a muddle, neither fish nor fowl. The call was dont buy st but go game by game. St sales down but not a fatal blow in june and game by game numbers not materialising. Result is a slow lingering death. The only way to bring this to a showdown conclusion was a full boycott of everything. Problem with that was the risk of what this mob would actually leave behind to salvage. It looks like king et al gambled that they would walk by now with a deal in the bag. Its not the fans to blame for the mess we are in but be aware that it is possible you played into their hands ..

Summer transfer window: Official ins/outs and transfer rumours
pmu replied to Zappa's topic in Rangers Chat
Development is not ultimately about results but preparing players for first team football. If the standard being presented to McCoist is so poor for the level we were at he should have been leading a clear out of the youth system. I suspect the biggest problem is his inability to develop and nurture players, although I'm sure the youth setup could be improved... -
For 4 3 3 to work the middle three need to be narrow and clark/ miller wide. They have to work back as much as the full backs need to get forward. If played right with the right personel it can very effective way to play against "smaller" teams as you can overload them when you get on top of them and sustain the pressure. Doubt that ally has the tactical nous to make it happen..

Well we saw a bit of him at end of last season when he added a spark to a bored jaded team. Would love to think the loanee's will come back ready for action. History would sugest otherwise. If he wont trust them now what evidence is there that he will later in the season, nevermind next year spfl! -

Half a million!! If they had ally trim the overaged shite from the squad and been a bit more canny rather than profligate with his additions, we could be better off by much more than half a million!! -

I know he needs it and if he's not getting it with ally then it probably is best for him. If ally doesnt think he is good enough for game time after the promising performances last season then not much hope for any young lads. -

Mcgeouch punted of to hibs in one year loan. Wonder if he feels a bit of a c@#@? -
But you refuted his claim that we will NOT be invincible. That indicates that you believe we WILL be invincible. However you later say we will not be invincible. Getting tied in knots!

Leckie: Stop giving to Ibrox, start following your local team!

Take it he still lives in Paisley then! -
All this wage ratio talk is completely skewed. We have a "huge club" operating cost base, inc murray park, 50,000 stadium and all the cost associated. Lowered income because of level we are at not including no shows, reduced ticket prices, lower tv income, sponsorship, europe... At the level we are playing the playing wage bill should be appropriate for div 2,1, championship not based on a percieved acceptable percentage. Player wage budget should be whats available not a wishlist....

Deserted seats show reality of angry Rangers fans voting with their feet
pmu replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
No doubt it's a conundrum. Boycotting (or just not going because of product) is unquestionly killing the club. Continuing this as policy will either allow the s*#s to increase their grip by awarding themselves lucrative side deals as "reward" for keeping us afloat or it will lead to another admin or worse event. Probably the latter better in long term as it could have have a cleansing effect, but we had better be ready to endure a scorched earth approach from the encumbents if they try and extract every last drop of blood! -
Well i think he is right not to comment on the boardroom issues as he's fucked it up on that front too much in the past. I thought his handling of this whole presser was beligerant and arrogant. His comments on sky later about the fans understanding how hard this league is etc was patronising and completely missing the mood of the "people" . I sometimes wonder just what was said that night to lennon after the game. At the time i believed ally to be an honourable and decent guy. We are seeing the other side and frankly its not what i want from a rangers leader..

If Clark is dropped for miller, he had better have a stormer..

No not overall, but as the football manager he has squandered millions in wasted wages, pay offs etc and seems to show no understanding or interest in running a prudent ship. Can you believe that today of all days he was talking about hoping to add to the squad? I think he is taking the piss. I also think he is as culpable as the boards and other spongers for the mess we are in. Let me be equally clear that the people sanctioning his spending are to blame as well
