  1. Was Mulholland not hailed heralded on his arrival as an upgrade on the previous chap, Sinclair? I know nothing of either so I maybe I’m mistaken. It’s been known.
  2. No rebuke my good man but I did say above it’s bbc R Scotland Sportsound not the bleeding Brains Trust.
  3. Everton’s matches: 8 May. BHA A 14 May. City H 20 May. Wolves A 28 May. Bournemouth. Most they’ll get is six points, three of them at Wolves with a bit of luck and with a superhuman effort three at home against Bournemouth.
  4. Pick Devine, King and Lowry if any if them is fit and leave them in the team until the end of the season no matter how bad they may be on any particular day. Durrant and Derek Ferguson weren’t exactly carried on the shoulders of giants when they got their first run of games.
  5. I wonder if the bookies will use ‘Spurs as a guide to end of season odds fixing. Newcastle destroy them. United can only draw with them. Liverpool beat them comfortably but narrowly. Mags are going to be third?
  6. Lawrence and Colak may become operational again. Roofe never will and Jack unfortunately is possibly at the end of his career. Too soon to tell but they are severely handicapped by the inadequacies of their teammates. Let’s see how they’re doing in October.
  7. 3-0 down back to 3-3 with minutes to go but still managed to lose 4-3. Struck the post twice in the space of a minute when it was still 3-1.
  8. I get what you mean but he hasn’t come from schools or junior football or even the B team. He cost a lot of money so you would expect to see something in his play to show why he’s worth the price. Time will tell because I don’t think he’ll be sold this time round.
  9. I think Tav has shot his bolt. Yilmaz has shown absolutely nothing. Sell him pretending to buyers he’s a great player, just hasn’t settled in Glasgow. Raskin and Cantwell have to be kept, at least for now but consistent, productive performances needed.
  10. Maybe he’s not good at football? Quite a few clubs have let him go.
  11. Well on, though and the harbour is right outside so you can jump in it after a bad result.
  12. I have a terrible feeling Ian’s dug will be getting an early walk.
  13. Very true. Unfortunately Rangers don’t have much tough at the moment.
  14. Media would love the demise of City. Forfeited titles could be divided between their adored Liverpool and some institution they call Man Yoo.
  15. A Sheik could do worse than buy Everton. A better starting option than City were?
  16. Indeed - like no other.
  17. That’s six abstentions from me.
  18. Couple of goals. Which fate does this tempt? A surprise win for the Famous or a barrowload for them? Even now I can hear @Rousseaurattling his analytical eyes of newt or whatever these stattos use to predict the future.
  19. Is that not the Insurance Assessor’s job?
  20. Frankie has got it right. Nothing to add. Another defeat at the weekend, I’m afraid.
  21. 4-1 City. The end.
  22. 1-0 after seven minutes. KDB.
  23. Gavisus sum, as suggested. Rangers aren’t yet in as bad a state as that. Nothing wrong that a couple of championships, a decent go in Europe and a successful litigation won’t cure.
  24. I wouldn’t have given Arsenal a percentage chance as high as 31%. But ….
  25. That’s about as good a finishing schedule as you could get. Imagine, if the league had still been competitive, the green screams about all the hard games at home. Imagine our own screams if it had been the other way round.
