Burnley don’t need him.
-
A player with considerable merits but what does his being POTY say about the rest of them?
-
Oh dear.

He did it out of coorseness. He’s lived too long in the north-east. Time he moved to the Borders, a more civilised region.

Defensive frailties still there. Could have been 3-3. Even better, could have been 6-3. The spoilt child doing the bbc commentary shrieked at the third goal: “Rangers have won the battle - but they’ve lost the war - we all know that.” Expect he cried himself to sleep last night. -

Cameron has signed a new contract at Dundee. I watched QP v Dundee and both QP games against Thistle. Of the forty or so players on display Cameron was the only one who stood out as a real footballer. Graham, the Thistle striker scored a couple of cracking goals. I know it was only QP but a good finish is a good finish in any league. -

If the League positions had been reversed I would have dreaded this match and found the result unbearable. The team owes a massive debt to their employers, coaches and supporters. This result is a small beginning toward redeeming the debt. Comfortable, high-scoring victories in the remaining games and starting the new season similarly will be a substantial reduction. With luck a lot of the individual debtors will be gone. -

I agree. Get wired in at the start but be ready to keep it up. How often have we seen a Rangers side do that and then, either score after twelve minutes and relax or fail to score in twenty and get dis-spirited? -

If the player performs on the pitch, should wages not be left out of the equation? Difficult to express a player’s productivity in monetary terms. -

Scratch that. He’s twenty, twenty-one in October. Too old. -

Sign him. First team material soon enough. Plenty of energy and knows what to do with a football. Not a big bloke but doesn’t get pushed around. He might not make it in which case sell him to Hearts or Aberdeen or better still, OPR or similar. -
I wouldn’t read Elfideldo’s reports. He tells what happened on the pitch, describes scoring moves in detail and assesses players’ performances. Nothing about the players’ favourite group or what cars they drive or where they’re going for their holidays with their girl friends. That’s real football reporting. None of the boring left-footed-shot-from-the-edge-of-the-box stuff.

Lucky man. Stay the weekend and take a Sunday morning river cruise. -
I only saw from minute 87 to the end minute 96. The team looked really good in that short time. Lovelace whom I wrote off last week performed a Puskas-like bit of skill to provide the opening for the equaliser which Weston smashed home like Jim Forrest. Could easily have scored two more with a bit of luck. Rice scored a Hubbard-esque opening penalty. The opposition’s first attempt was laughable. Sadly some of Rangers’ further efforts were as bad.

Lose on penalties. Some shocking attempts.

On the basis of ninety minutes against the Spiders, I’d sign Cameron from Dundee. -

Let us hope you’re right. Bit hard on Leeds, maybe, but I prefer Forest.

What is it with Scottish football programmes? Why are the participants all greetin’ faced troglodytes? -
Soaring up to sixteenth in the league you could say that Everton are now the top club in the relegation cohort. So’ton are pretty much gone and Forest and Leeds must be favourites to join them in the plunge. Everton can’t relax, though
