They will have their wallets under their pillows, something which aids restful repose, immeasurably.
I’ll have to take your word on that, old bean.

That’s quite funny ‘tho I expect the bannermen are deadly serious about it.

I wonder how many senior pros are fit to pic a team from now? I wonder how many of the players who are running down their contracts you Bears would want to re-sign? I wonder how many of you Bears would want to retain the services of the current DOF? I wonder how many of you Bears feel like the manager has had a fair level of support from the board?
For me the answers are - not enough, none, not me, no.
1. Few.
2. None.
3. Not I.
4. Yep.

Well, don’t.

Newcastle beat Chelsea (as most teams seem to do) 1-0 to go third!
City lose at home to Brentford. Obviously City can’t compete against clubs with the massive resources of
Brentford.

Poor end to the half. We're getting dragged down to the oppositions level.
Perhaps this is Rangers’ level.

The bloke is 33. Should be done for failing to grow up.

Leeds V Chelsea final replay of 1970 not for the feint hearted that's for sure but wonderful to watch
Blood and thunder, glaur and muck. Fine for us old fellows but not so good for the young soccer geeks nowadays.
Got to admit, though, City and Chelsea last night served up a sumptuous repast of old style football just without the ingredients aforementioned.

Arsenal and ‘Spurs out to BHA and Forest. Hammers lose to Blackburn. Liverpool stagger past the Derby County galacticos on penalties.
The big clubs don’t want this, do they?

Everton duffed 4-1 at Bournemouth in the Carabou. They had a terrific young fullback in the sde, though.

NEH? Paying back more director loans if any are there? Would be good for us mere plebs to get some clarification.
Are you a shareholder, Sbg? If so attend at the agm if you can and ask the question.

If any Gersnetters are contemplating a day at the Lowland league, Tranent is the very place
Thanks for the word picture, 26th. I regret sincerely that my knowledge of Tranent is limited to what I saw when passing through and that so long ago, there was nether Asda nor Aldi there nor anywhere else in Scotland come to that.
Why the carnation? Could you not just have worn your sword and carried your Bible? Just in case there were other dudes likewise equipped in Ternent, you could have packed your parachute on your back. Perfect ID. Easily recognised and unlikely to be copied.

Any chance we can get rid of the drum?
Watching some FA cup games I had to turn off sound because of the monotonous cacophony. If you must have drums at games import drummers from South America. At least they’ve got rhythm. A bit of samba does no harm.
The cup games were poor. What else can you expect from the first round.By contrast, the Rugby League World Cup was rattling good entertainment. Samoa v Tonga was the best bit of sport I’ve seen since I can’t remember when.

He was greatly admired on R5 in his early days but they have form (bad) for that. They were previously enamoured of a couple of Cardiff City managers whose name I forget and a long-gone Watford bloke.

Unai Emery's Villa 2-0 up against Man Utd after 15 minutes...
Villa win 3-1.
Newcastle United dismantle So’ton 4-1 and go up to fourth unless ‘Spurs recover from 0-1 to Liverpool.
Edit: Make that third place. Heady heights for the Mags.

Arsenal beating Chelsea at the Bridge. That’s what they have to do to win a league.

Celtic have their wingers wide but they run from very wide positions towards the centre when there is a cross about to come from the other side, and it leads to them being in loads of space

I kind of wish I was heading to Tranent now. I know Frankie and Ian are real but 26th of foot has an ethereal, fictitious character air about him.
He’s a whole bloody Regiment.

My auld man's going to that tomorrow.
I'm off to Paties Road (Colinton) to see my hometown team instead.
Saw Royal Albert once in a Scottish Cup Tie against Elgin City. Walking to the ground I was impressed by the huge crowd, then 90% of them turned off to the rugby! Willie Macfarlane was your manager at the time. Got a creditable draw before the inevitable defeat in the replay.

Ternent, eh? There will be a divided loyalty on this Board.

So, who needs Garrincha?

Neither Ajax player got sent off.
Our team are far too nice, even by modern standards. Winning is far more important than making friends.
By God, yes but I’d rather a defender breenged a forward up in the air than indulged in girly shirt tugging.

Arrest made after Aberdeen fans fly sectarian banner at Ibrox

Would it be ok if the banner text was “Kill all Rangers Supporters”?
