Nothing very interesting gets said in football interviews
I can’t remember the last time I listened to one.

Embra derby yet again.
The Rose v the Rovers. No street-dancing in Raith?
Drumchapel Utd draw a plum tie with a trip to Elgin. Are Drum any good? Should I worry?
Should Aberdeen worry about Darvel? I wonder where the match will be played.

a couple of hours at a board meeting might be more of an education than many fans want to receive.
By God, yes.

The Brazilians just walked off! Imagine the histrionics nowadays.

He looks more the part in suit and tie.

Wild goal celebrations with subs and coaches joining must stop. New rule required:
a) Ref blows whistle for goal.
b) The restart is twenty seconds after, ready or not, with the offside rule suspended for thirty seconds.
That should get things going again without the collapsing, cuddling, boogeying, forehead-banging, sky-finger-pointing and ground-head-bumping.
Without my proposed moderate change, how long before we get the full Thanksgiving Service on the centre circle after a goal? Or High Mass depending who scores.

This is his stats at QPR
Do QPR face better opposition than Rangers?

That is really good.
Four bob (20p) to see the Eintracht demolition (ticket top left) Despite the despair it was worth it. Rangers scored three (not half enough for a draw) but the Germans were really good that night. I reckoned they had a good chance against Real. Proves I knew nothing then and to be honest, have made next to no progress since.

Very interesting, thanks.
celtic now the country’s leading club by a lot of these measures and how does Norwich do better than Rangers in Commercial?

I don't know who signs these contracts but in my day contracts were binding.
Still are, compo. That’s why Rangers got into trouble with Ashley and may now be in a bit of bother with Elite/Hummel.

This is easily the most thoughtful, and insightful, thread on the topic so far.
Don't read it if you have been asking for Knutsen or if you are a friend of Kevin Thomson.
Can you show me where he’s wrong in any of that?

It's perhaps noteworthy that there were no going concerns reported in the most recent accounts....
Nasty shock. I’d hoped the accounts would show Rangers as a going concern.
I have only a fleeting acquaintance with the Black Art of Accountancy but I think the practitioners’ magic words for the lHummel claim are Contingent Liabilities.

I know if I took charge they would be spending a fortnight at Gullane sleeping in tents and fed on hard tack until they got fit ,watching our lot these day’s it’s more like a Sunday pub team their fitness is not up to scratch .
Dead right, compo. The world atlas wasn’t coloured two thirds red on pasta and garlic.

Did King run the retail? Seriously question as I don't know the answer. I thought there was a Commercial Director pre-Bisgrove?
Whoever was running the commercial side would need King’s direction on strategic decisions.

King.

Who took the decision to cast Hummel adrift?
I think the real question is who entered into the agreement with Elite/Hummel before it was safe to do so? As it happens the answer to both questions is the same.

Would you want him in charge of us?
His team is current champions and comfortably top of the league. I could be convinced.

I’ve just seen England’s Group. How did they swing that? Did they have Lawwell as Draw Consultant?

Dick Campbell’s probably too old so I voted Dyche.

Kai Johansen’s 1966 cup final replay winner.
You can see it as part of news film on Youtube but not in isolation. It’s also on Facebook. Very clear picture from an unusual angle. Almost makes me want to join FB.0

The promise of a sensational ending lured me into watching the last ten minutes of France v Tunisia. The lady commentator kept on about the Tunians. Who they?
VAR was technically right to chalk off the French goal but a lot happened between Griezman getting back from an offside position and driving it into the net.
There were about two minutes left for play. The ref blew for full time. Then the VAR issue came up. Thank God I’m a fan of neither the French nor the Tunians. For one lot, Elation/Despair. For the other, Elation/Despair/Elation - then more Despair because the other result meant they were out no matter what.
Pity that a minimal offside can’t be overruled by the artistic or technical merit of the disallowed goal but who’s to judge that?
