For me Rashford remained active and therefore offside
He was certainly driving forwards towards the goal and pulled out at the last moment. Must have distracted the ‘keeper.

A large swathe of the middle class, liberal-minded including almost all of the Church of Scotland are so desperate to demonstrate their middle of the road, liberal-mindedness that they want to be seen to distinguish themselves from the more robust elements of Protestantism and Unionism and by so distinguishing themselves, they have become aligned with Roman Catholicism and Separatism.
What I can never understand is why they get so upset about flutes and banners and sashes but blowing people to smithereens is somehow neither to be condoned nor condemned but is understandable and almost justifiable for two hundred years old historical reasons.
About twenty years ago there was a match of shame at Ibrox. Lennon was ordered off, O’Neil made a fool of himself and what else? Oh, celtic lost. The Labour micks then in power went loco at Holyrood on the Monday. A prominent Liberal-Democrat MSP for a leafy Edinburgh constituency joined in and became their useful idiot in the storm against Rangers and by some weird extension Orangeism although the Loyal Order as such had not been present at the match.
I wrote to the Liberal drawing attention to a little bit of history in general and celtic history in particular and asked him if he had considered these aspects. He was good enough to reply confessing his ignorance which astonished me because he was a highly educated man. What astonished me more, though, was his insistence that it didn’t matter because Protestant sectarianism and by association Unionism constituted the greater current problem and had to be dealt with. How liberal is that?
As commented on by others, their PR, their propaganda and their adherence to their objectives are better. We should be demanding that Union MPs and MSPs be more determined in their beliefs. There may be signs of that starting. They should be more united in their Unionism but I don’t see Labour committing themselves to that.
With regard to Father Lawlor why is the Kirk not publicly expressing disgust and disbelief at his appointment? Forgiveness and redemption are admirable but in most cases futile. Is the Kirk afraid that by calling out the man it will be seen to be attacking his faith? If it can’t manage to rebut that argument it’s not up to much.

Another young hopeful recedes. Oh, how I want to be wrong.
Durrant and Derek Ferguson had broken through by age nineteen.

Ah, yet another Internet expert.
He’s entitled to his view. Remember he expresses it in US English which is sometimes a wee bit different from our own.

Tom Finney. No Eric Caldow. Or was it Gordon Smith (Hibs)?

I don't think it's solely focused on Jack to be honest, seems to be most players.
Tsb’s bête noire (we all have one) is Goldson.

The late Noel Euchuria Cornelius Cantwell?
Who does that to a child?

I wonder if Cantwell is related to Noel Cantwell, Uniteds, West Ham and Manchester and ROI.

Villa out. 1-2 v Stevenage.
Big prize for them - a trip to Stoke. No reward for effort.

Thank god that’s over… I couldn’t have taken another minute of that bloody drum.
I only had to hear it during the goal highlights. The percussionist is seriously deluded.

Could still happen.

Pretty sure the manky mob done this outfit 9-0 and we are struggling against them again
They did. What we have to realise is that they are a vastly better team than Rangers. No use deluding ourselves.

City slaughtering Chelsea 3-0 with five minutes of the first half still to go.
Number three was a creation of machine like efficiency and artistry such as only City produce.

The once mighty Leeds trailing Cardiff by two at half time their manager must be on his way out
Dominate second half, miss a barrowload including a penalty but equalise in the last minute of added time.

I will brook nothing less than a comfortable victory by a number of goals. United are a low quality team. They will run and throw themselves about so Rangers must do the same until they are subdued and then turn on a bit of style. Nothing to fear. No Malpas, Narey, Hegarty, Sturrock nor Paine, little beggar but good player that he was.

The Law Society weren’t even on the pitch. Grier withdrew his complaint to the Judicial Office, the judges who judge other judges.

Final score: Sheffield Windassday 2, Newcastle United 1.

He’s hit the bar with a 20 yard free-kick! Useless.

He’s done it again! 2-0. Rocket shot.
His first was offside. No VAR.
Big gaps in the home end. Unbelievable.

Early evening delirium for @Rousseauas Windass (for it is he) opens the scoring for Wednesday. Missed a couple in the first half.

Just seen one of Leicester’s away outfits. Nothing controversial about the design but the shirts are matt white, the shorts, stockings and shirt trim are the colour of what comes out of a very sick horse.
Never mind the sartorials. Wednesday v Magpies tonight. A clash of ancient giants.
