I'll risk opprobrium and abuse, here, but I'd argue that Brian Laudrup was value for money.

That’s Uilleam for you. Ever the controversialist, always out on a limb.

Have some public obloquy while you’re at it, pal.

  2. We can but hope.

Looks like a complete new team next season. They may need the whole season to get it right. Well over buster’s four decades ago a club which interests me bought the stars from their league. 0-5 at halftime in the first match, 5-5 final whistle. They won nothing that year, everything next year and most things for a good number of years after that.

Patience, dear friends, patience. Unfortunately I have very little. How about you?

Did Willie Ormond, Hibernian forward of some repute, not bide in the manager's office at Tynecastle, for some seasons?

Anyway, Hubs, or Hertz, who cares?

    Baith East coast dross, ken.

You are absolutely right. I’d forgotten auld Widden Legs had hirpled into the manager’s office at Tynie. Was Dalry Road in flames? I don’t know. I was away by then.

The two regulars that could have been replaced for better were the Keeper and, Alan Gordon.

Joe Harper replaced Alan Gordon. (Funny, I always think of Gordon as Hearts and Harper as Aberdeen)

Be fair. The ‘keeper had played a fair bit for Newcastle United and had a bit of a career after leaving the Hibs.

But you’re right. That was a tremendous Hibs team. Put the young Joe Baker into it and Wow!

Eddie Turnbull, who managed, I think, the Hertz, ken, and Aiberdeen

    Whit?

The great Eddie Turnbull, inside left in the Famous Five hibbee forward line did indeed manage Aiberdeen before succeeding Bob Shankly at Easter Road and putting on the pitch one of Scottish football’s most entertaining sides.

But the Hertz? Gorgie would have been in furious rebellion, ken?
