I thought this season would be different but no. Same old daundering about the park. Why are new players playing in the same way as the players we got rid of? It must be coming from the old lags and the fact is, Beale is one of them. His return trip via Villa and QPR doesn’t seem to have done him any good.

If you can play like Beckenbauer, you can stroll about like a lord. Otherwise you’ve got to run. What’s Sakala doing these days?

Beale seems to like Sima.

This should answer a lot of questions. Let’s hope that by Christmas he has performed so well we are clamouring for an early return to help the team retain leadership of the league for the remainder of the season.

A plastic pitch is not an excuse when there is such a difference in the quality of the players the clubs can put on the field. Rangers’ previous travails at Rugby Park had more to do with their inability to cope with Dicker and Power than with the surface of the pitch. It’s not as though Kilmarnock win all their home games

Don’t think so. The regulation issue is the celtic Watch which is capable of variable time keeping in any match no matter what teams participate in order to meet one purpose only.

Scout for somebody who can read the play in front of him, get into position (you don’t have to be lightning fast to do that) and then tackle like the clap of doom. I don’t care if the chap can’t waltz up the wing and snap off a defence splitter pass. Maybe just lay the ball off to … to … er … Danilo?

A defender should be able to defend with minimal assistance from any other player.

I don’t agree that it’s only a “bounce game” and all about “getting minutes into legs”. As Uilleam rightly says the team are already through pre-season and have played three matches. There should be signs of something by now. Somebody’s got to start scoring goals. Take away Tav’s penalties and there’s hardly anything. Let’s hope Danilo and Cifuentes, if they arrive, can create and in Danilo’s case score a few.

Despite some very good performances last season, I remain dubious about Cantwell. I’ll be surprised if Dowell makes it. I hope Sterling can defend because Tav, Barisic and Redvan and to a lesser extent, Davies, can’t.
