Came on for Hearts in the second half for Barrie McKay. Didn’t get a lot of the ball and didn’t to anything with it when he did.

Shankland scored an efficient penalty and “scored” with a brilliant strike from a slightly offside position. Apart from that 

Hearts were woeful. Stand up to their rumbustious play for ten minutes and the game’s yours as PAOK found out, 1-2.

Hearts’ ultras pointless just like Hibs’ last night in fact like all ultras everywhere.

How early in next week’s commentary will Squealum McLeod or whatever other idiot is doing it, come out with “Cantwell, lucky to be playing this match ….. “?

Hagi can get through a defence, he can hit a pass and he can get a decent shot away from further than a yard out. Apart from that he doesn’t do a lot.

Souness’ team got off to a shocking start on the basis of results but you could see what was coming in the style of play and individual performances. Durrant beat the tims in the first celtic match in October and my memory subject to correction is that Rangers were either top or close to top at the end of the year.

A couple of good games later. City v NU and ‘Spurs v MU.  Very early days but neither Newcastle nor ‘Spurs will want to drop points. The opponents won’t either but they, especially City, have the capability to make up lost ground.
