  1. Minimum of three days. If he survives that he could make it to Hallowe’en.
  2. Morelos brought goals and Kent brought some flashes of brilliance in his early days. Alfie was a fantastic bargain acquisition, Kent not so much. But over the last season and a half neither contributed much so I’m glad they’re gone. Other forwards have been brought in. Are they as good? I wonder if Danilo might be. I’m seeing nothing in the others. Early days, I know. Often new players take time to get used to the way a team works but you can usually see some signs of capability. Not with these chaps unfortunately.
  3. McMillan hadn’t either. His brain was fast though and his feet moved fast on the ball. Looking elsewhere, Moravcik wasn’t a greyhound. On the other hand, Matondo cruises at just under mach1.
  4. Blue Moon tonight. What sort of omen is that? Does it mean it’s Rangers’ night or does it mean we retire to our beds in despair or does it just mean City will win again whenever they play next? Any Medicine Man/Witch Doctor can give us a firm interpretation?
  5. Friends had a domestic flight cancelled late yesterday afternoon so they drove all night to Gatwick and their flight to the Caribbean took off only an hour after scheduled time.
  6. Congratulations. First ever on a Rangers board anywhere, I imagine.. Have you heavily backed a PSV win? Actually it’s not the lunatic notion it would have been a couple of weeks ago. I think, though, I’d keep Matondo back until sixty minutes
  7. Rangers are hated by many clubs but only one club and its supporters work relentlessly, in the case of the club, to reduce Rangers’ status, and in the case of their supporters to bring about demise. And do Rangers really want to be associated with a discredited minority brand?
  8. I’m very pleased. It’s two points lost for them. It helps Rangers but that’s all it is. Look at it another way. Will they fail to win in three consecutive games?
  9. Step up Mr Malky McKay. Or the St Mirren guy. @Rousseauwill know some fancy foreign dan to take the reins held once with panache by Hugh Shaw, Bob Shankly and Eddie Turnbull and also, unfortunately for Hibs, by a greater number of mediocrities.
  10. That will explain what success he had. Good records at Preston and Everton. Not so good at Manchester United but better than some of his illustrious successors and nobody was going to be successful there immediately after Ferguson. The move to Spain was ill advised, struggled at Sunderland (everybody does) but overall good enough at West Ham. I was checking his record because I had deluded myself into thinking he went to Goodison from Blackburn Rovers and I see he is an FP of Bearsden Academy.
  11. Brighton and Hove Albion 1, West Ham United 3. Rockers smash the mods and go top of the league. That Moyes is a managerial genius.
  12. Application for Building Warrant refused. Insufficient provision for green requirements.
  13. The 25 oldest stadiums are listed here: https://www.football-stadiums.co.uk/ Everton at 21. Perhaps some mistake. @compowill remember the dates better than the bloke who compiled the list. Having guessed Deepdale I should also have guessed PNE’s neighbours at Burnley and Blackburn. Tannadice at 4 and no Hampden.
  14. I don’t. Guessing Hampden, Villa Park. Deepdale. No clue about the others. Assuming same exact geographical location, not the same stands and terraces.
  15. What a day for Stuart Cosgrove. So pleased for the wee man and of course, his ggg grannie who used to push him in his pram to Parkhea … sorry, Muirton.
  16. It’s going to end 2-4, do you reckon? Meanwhile along the road at Goodison two mighty names struggle in a relegation battle. 4-2, of course. Don’t know my home or away.
  17. Without checking back, I think our Dingwall record is better than that of another team from Glasgow. But I know what you mean. In bygone days Dunfermline and Kilmarnock were the tricky games but they were sides well up the Table. I don’t remember much toil at Falkirk or Perth or Ayr.
  18. That’s the trouble, Cammy. Ross County whether in Dingwall or on the dark side of the moon should never be a tricky game.
  19. The bloke who should have been sent off will get the equaliser in the ninety eighth minute.
  20. Moderators should stamp out this sort of thing. Five year ban for the instigator. Hagi must stay
  21. I might be reconciled to Hagi’s departure if Hazard is coming in. Just somebody reassure me, he’s not Ramsay Mark 2.
