[Official] Rangers appoint Philippe Clement as new manager
Scott7 replied to Rousseau's topic in Rangers Chat
Stein took a team of serial losers, patronised by supporters of other teams, to …. well, no need to remind ourselves. A familiar scenario? Clement may not be the man to make it happen, but it does happen. -
Pointless. Never watch them.

I’m one of the ragers. He’s had a day and a half to get things sorted. I wanted him to say Tav is never a captain and well past his best, Goldson’s been at it, the rest of the defence is one footed but he’s got five specialist defenders all comfortable going forward who can come in tomorrow and he knows a way round the registration rules, Dessers and Lammers are eejits and are as good as gone. He said none of that. Muscat in NOW. -

Lass uns gehen. Always think German sounds more positive than French. -
Not something to broadcast until the end of your career.

Un sac de têtesrichards. -
Better than most Scots.

Wan and eight? Fourpence short of one of compo’s florins. Not expensive but one might not expect much in the way of quality.

Home knitted Bluey the Kangaroo for sale. Cheap. -
Fellows are playing rugger. Has to be better than D&P.

It was a foul. Only a tiny little foul but a foul nonetheless. If you want to use your hands in a game, don’t play football. Should just have let the ‘keeper jump. He wouldn’t have got it.

The general public have limited free access online to the Scottish Land Register. Some information is available, unfortunately not owners’ identities. The Register shows that the area posted by @Bluedell above is the actual football ground. (I decline to say stadium) The last registered transaction was on 4 August, 2004 value £1,000 (ONE THOUSAND) Some administrative juggling I imagine. Interestingly the ground immediately in front, apparently including a small bit of the actual building itself, is not on the Register but it’s ownership is probably on the old recording system to which there is no free access. The map helpfully labels the area as “Statues”. To the south of the ground is a property just described as “London Road” without a number, last transaction 30 April 2014, value £359,772. Could be one of Haughey’s. There are several parcels of land mostly on the south-east, all described as “Janefield Street”. Dalriada Street is one of them. Not all of them are contiguous. One bit of ground is on the on the north-west of the football ground but all are on the same registration, last transaction 6 April 2009, value £519,475. I guess these are the bits of land bought by Haughey mentioned above by Bd and @26th of foot I am curious to know the names of the registered owners but not curious enough to pay.

Feu duty was done away with twenty (?) years ago. I hope you’re not still paying yours, Bd. Maybe WH lets his land to celtic for a peppercorn.
-
The land inside the red boundary includes the football ground. Or does WH own all the land within the red boundary except the ground itself?

Poll Re-run: Who is your preferred choice as the new manager?
Scott7 replied to Rousseau's topic in Rangers Chat
That’s usually a very reliable guide. Uniquely the difference in the present case is that they have by SP standards a reasonably well oiled machine that needs a light touch - Clement? Rangers need someone who will bang heads together and deflate egos and light a fire under the team - Muscat? -

Muscat was never much of a ‘Ger, though. Didn’t have the status of GvB. -
Not sure about celtic’s status in that, Bd. Were celtic the sellers? The low price suggests they were not. Is the land “dead land” or do celtic use it in some way?

When you find out, let me know if there’s a cure for it. -

If the new chap is Clement, he’ll be gone at Christmas and the next one by Easter. -
[2023] Who should be the next Rangers manager?
Scott7 replied to BlackSocksRedTops's topic in Rangers Chat
er, I think nowadays we say “within budget”. -
I agree. Charlie Miller had a bit of a career but not the stellar one predicted by Hateley.

I’ve defected to Muscat. God knows why. As others have said, the spectre of Le Guen possibly. -
Match Thread [FT] St Mirren 0 - 3 Rangers (Tavernier 30' pen, 90+1'; Sima 71')

You’re right. Hungary were first. What a team they had. I was being parochial as usual. Hearts were first to do it officially by name. Danny Ferguson, normally a right half, number 4 trotted out with 7 on his back and took post on the right of the back four. “ GerrupyurrwingFerrgyssun” the helpful cry from the terracing.
