  1. Unfortunately, I’m none too keen on Cantwell either. Maybe Rousseau’s got the answer above.
  2. Many of your criticisms are justified but who would you pick instead?
  3. There’s not a lot Clement can do. He has to pick from the signed squad. Lack of money will prevent the acquisition of good quality replacements in January.
  4. Not really seeing that, GR. Perhaps not fully recovered from his injury?
  5. So do I but a gloat now and then would be nice.
  6. The early goal is fine but it must be rapidly followed by a second and a third otherwise the opposition will start getting ideas. How often in recent years have Rangers scored and then fallen away badly with plenty of time for the enemy to recover and get the equaliser and thus the ascendancy?
  7. My team would be Butland, er um. Danilo, er. I’ll get back to you later with the rest.
  8. Would. You keep anyone? I like the ‘keeper. Souttar might be fine in stronger surroundings. Danilo could be good with a bit of help. McCausland has promise but that’s for the future. The defence is long past it, the midfield hardly exists and the attack is severely handicapped. You know, you could be right and I certainly agree that Rangers are second favourites for the LCF. My enemies will be bookmarking this to flourish at me when Rangers win it 4-0.
  9. They have indeed including the very greatest but likewise the Aberdeen teams that won were an awful lot better than the current crew.
  10. Since Italia 90 a generation has grown up believing that shirt tugging is not only legitimate but a rather smart tactic, the more blatant the better because it shows what a clever defender you are. Send them off, ref. They’re in the wrong game.
  11. I laughed at that, @26th of foot but it’s only the last sentence that amuses me. The rest is deadly serious. If I were Aberdeen’s Chief Executive I would be worried that the Coach didn’t know the rules. “Not every shirt pull in the penalty box is a penalty” says Robson. What sort of a shirt pull is ok anywhere on the field let alone the penalty area? Surely in football while the ball is in play, only the goalkeeper can use his hands for any purpose and that within a specified area of the pitch. Don’t any clever bloke mention throw-ins. The ball is not in play until thrown and if the throw is taken properly the player should be standing off the pitch.
  12. Plucky, plucky hoops. Done Ireland proud this evening. Held out until the 82 minute but a guy called Immobile has scored twice. Just as well Lazio didn’t pick a striker who can run. A penalty awarded to the spalpeens in the last seconds. VAR invites the ref to think again. He does and changes his mind. No penalty. Outrageous. I was wanting to see them miss it.
  13. Perhaps a little help from some friends composing the text for these banners.
  14. I read it as Ferguson being a better player than McGregor and better than Armstrong and better than Christie.
  15. Nice collaret he’s got on but he should have had a haircut. Never knew the PoW was so tall though I suppose JG’s shrunk a bit in old age.
  16. Always keen keen on mustard. Defected recently to American.
  17. The only good thing to come out of Norwich was Kevin Drinkell.
  18. They would have messed it up. celtic v celtic. Real Madrid v Rangers. Bayern v Rangers. Manchester City v Rangers Partick Thistle Bye.
  19. I forgot to mention the Draw was a super-glitzy spectacular on the macbbc. The host was global mega-star Jonathan Thingmy and the magic balls were pulled out of the giant goldfish bowl by those two absolute legends of soccer, cup-winners with Dundee United thirteen years ago, Danny (I think) Swanson and somebody else. What a carry on. Been just as well done by the equally famous Secretary and Assistant Secretary of the SFA.
  20. Away to Dumbarton. Buckie Thistle have a tricky away tie against Nippon Emerald but I fancy the Fishermen for a draw. They have a good Cup record in Glasgow. I think the last time they played there they best Queens Park when Queens were playing in Division A, the top flight at the time.
