"fuelled mainly by the release of negative goodwill of over £20m" What the hell is that? Forlan? Anyone?

At Kilmarnock yesterday. Pity there weren't enough fans to hold them up. I don't watch (ahem) "top level football" very often but I saw the whole of the second half of Kilmarnock v Hibs. I thought the Killie keeper was a bit ropey, then I realised it was Cammy Bell! To be fair, he had nobody in front of him who looked like a defender so he should feel at home at Ibrox. Griffiths looked like a player but so would my granny if she'd been in that game. He also looked as if he'd been born for a hooped jersey. Talking about jerseys, what were Kilmarnock doing in red and white? I mind when they played in hoops too but respectable blue and white.

"Charles Green eyeballing Peter Lawwell in the boardroom? Neil Lennon and Ally McCoist in each otherâ??s faces on the track in front of a baying mob? Bring it on." Journos use language like that, then when there's a wee bit of trouble at the match, they're ranting about Scotland's shame, old firm madness and all the other mock outrage cliches.

celtic really are a dastardly institution. We should never play another match against them. -
Good luck with getting the money out of the Liquidators.

Point 5 means the payments were legal but the failure to disclose was a contravention of the rules. It was more than an admin error because a positive decision was taken not to disclose. -

Most Edinburgh lawyers don't gve a flier about sport. Most of those who do are rugger chaps. The few that are football minded are mostly Hearts with some Hibbees and even some of those are masons. The celtic fans are the keelies who practise at the criminal bar and travel through every day on the train. -

The bbc guy Mick Loughlin or whatever his name is was looking gloomy on the telly tonight. Maybe he knows something upsetting. For him and his cholleagues, obviously. -
The worst ever Rangers defeat was inflicted by Chesterfield! Chesterfield! We've also had whacks from Arbroath and if I remember rightly Stenhousemuir. So the Bino banging was bad but not the worst. But I see what you're getting at.

"green has denied he has even spoke to the lad. " Would Green have to see or speak to the lad before he signed? He'd have to approve the deal right enough but minions would do the rest of the ork.

Question: do young Scots have the right attitude to take foreign coaching or is the boozer, bookie's and snooker hall culture too embedded in our nature?
-
"most of the Juventus team looked fit and athletic" As the late Bob Crampsey used to say "they even run out of the tunnel better than we do". A lot of Sottish players especially the ones under five foot eight look musclebound.

" ..... how could you buy Willie Waddell?" And one for my auld faither: "Poor Charlie Shaw, he never saw Whaur Alan Morton pit the baw"

When's the programmme on?

There's definitely a "get Traynor" campaign. Speirs was at it on Saturday. And was Speirs not the "succelent lamb" guy?

And another thing while I'm ranting. Defenders shouldn't be allowed to shepherd the ball over the byeline for a goal kick with their arms stretched out. Under the rules as they used to be, an attacking player was entitled to charge through an opponent facing his own goal. Saw Billy Simson do it. And Waddell. And Kichenbrand.

I don't care how the tims get beat but from a general point of view arm flapping and jersey pulling is comparatively new - last ten/fifteen years. And, yes, football is a contact sport but there was never a harder man than Harry Davis and you never saw him dancing about like a prima ballerina. A player can use his strength to get to the ball ahead of his opponent but standing in front of your man with your back to the flight of the ball is obstruction. It's a man's game, not a jessies' one. Having said all that it couldn't have happened to a better man than Hooper.

It's got to stop. All this girly pushing and shoving - I'm fed up with it. You didn't get a game in the playground if you did that . It's become almost a fashion thing. They'll be clutching cartons of coffee next.

Somebody bought the shares, though.

"il celtic furioso" - situation mormal then.

I wish they wouldn't call him "Coisty" Can you imagine "Struthie"? Get you a life ban.

Speirs on Radio S on Saturday kept repeating the new mantra that Rangers' PR is aggressive , inept and tabloid style. Is he jealous of JT for getting the job? What's more we've to stop blaming Dundee Utd. fans for the sins and ommissions of Whyte. Did anyone do that?

We keep hoping for this but it rarely happens. Barce, Manchester United, Real never quite dish out the hammerings expected from them.
