Disappointed that Albion dropped points at home to an experimental outfit like United.

Malta 0 -- Italy 1. Not long ago that would have been 0 - 5. Estonia 0 - England 1. Not long ago that would have been, er, 0 - 2. The gap is narrowing except for 'Gib and Andorra.

Neil Lennon: Bolton appoint ex-Celtic boss as manager
Scott7 replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
I agree with Hildy. Bolton Wanderers are a town club with a decent history. A competent manager ought to do well. Any manager of celtic has an audience that he must play to (tough luck, ronnie) but with no such nonsense at Bolton it will be interesting to see if lennon can hack it. He was good at hacking, right enough. -
WGS is indeed a pen nib.

I'm always suspicious of anything with green in it.

If Ashley could guarantee mediocrity as opposed to the current lunacy, I might have voted for him.
-
I voted but got no email. Tried to vote again in case I'd got something wrong but a screen message came up that I'd already voted so I hope it counts.

Dumbarton! Away! God, is there any way we can get a postponement?
-
If a postponement has to be applied for on a match to match basis, each case has to be determined on its own merits so there can be no room for precedent . They just fancy the time off

Nostalgia's fine by me. "The only thing to look forward to is the past" One of the many problems with the current owner/operators is the fact that their nostalgias if they have any don't include anything Rangers. Eric Caldow? Who he?
-
Not that we're interested or anything.

Nothing sinister about the signatures, just yet more evidence of utter uselessness. Do Rangers do this sort of admin in-house or is it contracted out?- 212 replies

IS ALLY McCOIST'S POSITION UNTENABLE? asks the Herald....
Scott7 replied to SteveC's topic in Rangers Chat
I'd keep McGregor if he's fit and good-bye to the rest. -
Chelsea won the league not long after the post-war resumption and then were never heard of again until their mid-sixties popularity with showbiz folk. Still didn't do much until more recent times. Magpies certainly and arguably Wolves and Preston North End were more prestigious than Chelsea.

Ewing Grahame in the Telegraph: "Rangers could face more expensive litigation now that the Worthington Group, the investment company which announced to the Stock Exchange last year that it was staking a legal claim to ownership of the business and assets of the club, has made a remarkable recovery. In April 2013 the group revealed that it would be pursuing the holding company, Rangers International Football Club, through the courts, insisting that Sevco 5088, the company formed by the discredited former Rangers owner Craig Whyte, had been awarded the sole rights to buy the club by the administrators Duff and Phelps. Instead, it was Sevco Scotland, fronted by the equally controversial Charles Green, which ended up in charge, with the former Rangers chief executive publicly admitting last year that he had lied to Whyte to gain control of the new club in the summer of 2012. As a result, the Worthington Group reported Green to the Serious Fraud Office. But its legal action appeared to have been abandoned when the Financial Conduct Authority suspended trading in its shares – then worth just 4p – at the Worthington Group’s request on Aug 1, 2013. However, since that ban was lifted four weeks ago, its share price has soared to £198.50 and yesterday it announced the acquisition of assorted digital media investments. With the improvement in the company’s financial health, it is now in a position to progress the challenge regarding its right to own the Championship challengers. That began last year when the Worthington Group bought a 26 per cent holding in Law Financial Holding Ltd, a company belonging to Whyte who, in turn, is believed to own a 7.54 per cent stake in Worthington. Sevco 5088 is one of the subsidiary companies owned by Law Financial. With a current market value of around £25 million, Worthington is worth around £10 million more than Rangers, who are struggling to raise the money to pay their bills. The Worthington Group did not return calls on Monday, but appear as if they are not walking away."

1 - 1 result. City's performance similar to many of Rangers' efforts over the years. Flattering to deceive.

Forty minutes gone and City getting a lesson in how to play. City 1 - Roma 1. City's goal a penalty after four minutes, Roma a nicely crafted goal by Totti. Roma could have had more but City should have had a second penalty.

A PS Divisional press release: "If there is an emergency situation which requires immediate police attention, dial 999. For non-emergency contact, call 101, the single non-emergency number." If you want the Fire Brigade, stick to 999.
