  1. There won't be any witnesses at the November hearing. One side or the other or perhaps both is saying that the opponent has not set out a legal case in writing. i. e. Even if everything the other fellow says in writing is true, to it doesn't entitle him to the order he's asking the Court to grant.

I expect this hearing will be the end of it. There can't be much dispute about the facts. The issues will be the interpretation of the contract and whether the contract was granted to Green by himself or a stooge or by the Board independently.

I say the end of it but Green will appeal if he loses.

The text of his terms of service would be interesting. I wonder if forlan has it stowed away somewhere.

  2. Didn't those three walk as well compo?....for more money

Davy Wilson had to be dragged kicking and screaming onto the train to Dundee in exchange for Orange Personn. Jimmy Miller and Wullie Henderson had reached the end of the natural road, prematurely in Wullie's case because of his bunion

We got some service out of Miller. Half-back, centre forward, then half-back again. One of the world's great spectacles to see him outjump the giant McNeil and bullet in a header. A better header of the ball than DJ or Hateley imho, though my auld mither would have said Willie Thornton.

  3. Never one of my favourite footballers but the guy's got courage.

An old 'Gers select played an old Aberdeen/Celtic select in a fund raising match at Elgin City's ground last month. Fernando was there with near 5,000 + to see Mols and Negri secure victory for the righteous.

  4. Two things:

Judges and Counsel lunch together in a sumptuous dining room. Words to the wise, gypsy's warnings, nods and winks.

Stenos, transcribers, printers and binders gossip.

    Whatever, let's hope it's true.

btw, I'm just assuming the dining room is sumptuous.

  5. This happens a lot in cases like this, the judges give their ruling to the QC's sometime weeks in advance of the result being officially recorded. Hold ,hold.......hold.

    No they don't.

  6. I was right in line behind Kai, high up on the terracing. I'd swear he was outside the box.

I saw his foot go back and I saw the ball in the net. Never saw the ball in flight.

  7. The 0 - 4 thrashing was a G Cup thrashing. I think it came a couple of season's after Kai's final. Lou Macari and a lot of other kids played that night. The press had stories about Stein sending out his apprentice boys to do the job.

The 5 -1 debacle was 2 January 1966 and Davy did indeed open the scoring in the second minute. Rangers still led 0 - 1 at half-time.

  8. Ah, you're looking for a modern day Gregor Stevens.

My other candidate would be Jim Steele. We had him on loan from Southampton for a month in 1976, he played four games, was booked four times. Plean RSC made him their Player of the Year.

Those two don't fit Tsb's job description and neither does my favourite tough guy, Mr Harry Davis demolition man supreme.

  9. City's defence is poor and has been for. They spent a lot of money on Mangala (?) last season and some other bloke this season whose name I can't spell because I've forgotten it plus Fernando/inho who are anonymous and di Michaelis who is past it. Nasri isn't Silva and Aguero can't do it all by himself every week.

I predict with heavy heart that Chelsea will finish above City this year and United above them both unless Sanchez can drive Arsenal on a 10 - 12 match unbeaten run.
