  1. Alas, I can't be there but if I were, I couldn't be seen to lob anything less than the 18 yo Mortlach. People would talk.
  2. No problem whatsoever. One Peter Lawwell, there's only one Peter Lawwell - and we all know which one it is.
  3. Ms Sweeney repeats the myth about a reporter banned from Ibrox. Two myths in fact. 1) No reporter is banned. 2) McLaughlin is no reporter.
  4. Do you support the Rangers, Rab?
  5. The trauma usually wears off after a day or so and they're ready for more.
  6. I was going to say something sympathetic but I don't want Sheriff Officers banging on my door with a contempt writ.
  7. Same principle from bottom to top. Is there an arguable case in law? At Inner House level, is there a public interest question? It's not like accounting where you add up the sums and always get the right answer. (Smiley face)
  8. "Whilst judges sitting in judgement on themselves appears strange to say the least" - BH Happens Very often in lower courts as I tried to explain to BD above.
  9. That's right for appeals from CofS to SC but there is a broad class of cases in lower courts where leave to appeal is required and most often granted.
  10. They still think they're right. Just want to check with the high heid yins..
  11. Not much doubt about this to be honest. Too big a public issue to refuse leave to appeal. Leave to appeal is no novelty. Happens all the time in lower courts and always has done. Having said that, Scottish education, banking, law and medicine used to be the most admired in the UK. Where's it all gone wrong? Too many liberal/fascist lefties if you ask me.
  12. If we weren't the same old Rangers they wouldn't be so bothered, would they?
  13. I've just agreed with you dB. You make a good point. On the other hand, apart from tims and maybe sheep, there is no team on the planet I'd rather see annihilated than ICT.
  14. How true. Not one of them is any good. RG used to anchor the programme very well but his standards dropped considerably.
  15. Derek Ferguson could broadcast through micro filtered laser beam ultra waves and he would still be Derek Ferguson.
  16. Many years since I watched Sportscene but I put it on to get the Scotland rugby result on Saturday evenng. While waiting I heard the child presenter say something about Scotland's greatest footballer against a back shot of Kenny Dalglish. I have no idea what the context was. The thought that flitted through my brain was Baxter but on reflection KD's a fair shout. Glittering career iin England which Baxter did not have. Against that, Baxter was post injury in England and his teams were not the rock solid platform that Liverpool were when Dalglish was there.. On further reflection my nomination is Gordon Smith of the Hibs. Most won't have seen this man. Think Laudrup with added elegance.
  17. What about the Westminster csc? I expect its membership was substantial in Labour times, perhaps a bit less now.
  18. My blood is blue, apparently.
  19. But only occasionally. Even genius needs back-up.
  20. Durrant was a player. Aberdeen tried to clog him a few times in that game.
