I doubt if there is room for a "reasonable" case. The consequences for acquisitions generally would be too serious. Unless there's a common sense judge lined up. Let's suppose St Johnstone had come to Ibrox and performed similarly in a 0 - 3 victory. The PQ report/discussions would have been admiring of Saints' ability to withstand pressure and their clinical, ruthless finishng and don't forget they could have scored twice in the first half. Magpies scrape through. They and Brighton are going up but who will be champs? Wednesday back in the play-off places. Too much to hope that proud Preston can join them. Villa and Wolves charging up the table but too late. They will have to find a way of keeping that momentum going for next season.

Chelsea v City was an excellent match. Reasonable outcome was a City victory but paradoxically Chelsea deserved the win. Pity because a defeat would have made the last few games more exciting with 'Spurs in good form.
