  1. Great stuff, BH but in our present state I'd take Stonewall Jackson as manager with possibly Jeb Stuart as assistant.
  2. Mibbees aye, mibbees naw, mibbees this. Friday Everton 2-0 Watford West Brom 1-2Chelsea Saturday Man City 3-1Leicester Bouremouth 2-0 Burnley Middlesbrough 0-0 Southampton Sunderland 0-1Swansea Stoke 1-2 Arsenal Sunday Crystal Palace 2-2 Hull West Ham 1-0Liverpool Tottenham 2-0 Man Utd
  3. The chocolate doughnuts at Geneva Airport are marvellous.
  4. What did Switzerland produce? Swiss Papal Guard, a decent watch or two, cowbells and damned fine Oberlander dogs.
  5. I'm hoping for a Juve win.
  6. Excellent article. Taking Jack Fingleton's wicket and being endorsed by Tom Finney - I would die a happy man on that alone.
  7. Nominated wth pleasure Ritchie, Shearer, Caldow ....aw, jings, too emotional to go on.
  8. Some procedural matter, either very minor or something both sides are agreed on. Having said that, it could be something momentous like one side or the other cavng in and agreeing to bring the case to an end. Unlikely, though, because the victors would be trumpeting their success.
  9. "Anyone been to Elland Road? Leeds fans are utterly mental - dressed up as monks, ostriches, singing all game, pyro on the concourse." Practising for Headingly.
  10. I couldn't get to a screen yesterday until just before McKay scored. Rangers were magnificent. Wizardry from McKay and Tavernier, hard work throughout the team and buzzbomb Miller in a diagonal sprint to create the chance for a Jimmy Millar style header from Garner. Seems I was very lucky to have missed the previous eighty minutes. Actually my praise of KM is genuine. Just before the winner he had done a forty yard sprint to force a Thistle attacker into a loose pass. You could see him go up a gear for the second twenty when most forwards would be easing off passing the buck to a defender. Despite losing the ten minutes 0-2 Jags looked like a team.
  11. No, I like the Mags but not their owner whereas B&HA are a nothing club unless you live in B&H. Bye bye, Blackburn. Now that is a shame.
  12. He couldn't cross the Channel because he couldn't defeat the RN unless he defeated the RAF first and he couldn't manage that. It was an act of folly to invade Russia. If he had used these resources in North Africa instead he could have seized the Suez Canal a disastrous outcome for Britain.
  13. Their delusion knows no bounds.
  14. Google says I'm wrong. http://www.scotsman.com/lifestyle/they-say-leith-got-off-lightly-they-re-wrong-1-1061209
  15. In answer to dB's enquiry they had a go at the Forth Bridge early on but I don't think the city was itself was raided.
  16. Rex Kingsley latterly of the Sunday Mail, was the fellow who dreamed it all up. I think they only did the last half hour in those days but stout fellow nonetheless. Chap should have had a gong for that.
  17. Ach well, she got the Hammers' goal right. Hard luck on the Hotspurs. I prefer them to Chelsea but the blues are the better team. If they win on Monday, the points margin will be a true reflection of the difference.
  18. A reinvention of the Maryhill Magyars?
  19. Mystic Meg was at the checkout in front of me in Asda this morning. This was on the back of her message list: Friday West Ham 1-2 Tottenham Saturday Man City 2-2 Crystal Palace Bournemouth 2-1 Stoke Burnley 2-0 West Brom Hull 4-0 Sunderland Leicester 2-0 Watford Swansea 2-1 Everton Sunday Liverpool 2-2 Southampton Arsenal 1-0 Man Utd Monday Chelsea 3-0 Middlesbrough Actually, I think Gribz knows more about this than MM.
  20. I'd sign Attila the Germanic tribal king and Pope Francis if it would stop tiar.
  21. 'Well looked bigger and older. Rangers looked defensively weak. Goals were good.
  22. Can't see Juve club conceding one goal let alone three.
  23. In the bygone days of yore that copper and three of his mates would have been up the terracing stair after that yahoo. In the bygone days of yore that copper would not have been fat.
  24. I'd take Maxwell, McInnes and van Vossen now.
