match thread (image) [FT] St Mirren 0 - 2 Rangers (Candeias 80; Morelos 90+2)

How well I remember that cup final. I was baby watching two miles from Hampden as a result of a rash promise to let my sister and brother in law go to a wedding. In those days radio commentary was the last twenty minutes only. Did Kelly not concede the riot semi-final? I only saw news footage but it was about the worst I’d ever seen inside a park. This weekend I’d like to see some driving forward replacing a bit of the sideways possession. -
Outstanding fixtures this weekend Arsenalv Liverpool and Wolves v the Hotspurs. 2-0 Arsenal, 1-3 ‘Spurs. Rest of the card is drab yet again. And while I’m at it, Springboks to trample the Rose at Twickers.

McGrory and Stein didn’t behave like Lennon. McNeil didn’t. Burns didn’t. O’Leary didn’t. Rogers doesn’t. The man unique.

Sheep playing for time already.

Is that Frankie?

Quite like the look of that lineup. As for Don Revie I remember the furore surrounding the deep lying centre forward tactic. The trouble was only Don Revie could play the position.

Don Revie.

True. A legal triumph over the bbc isn’t going to change staff attitudes.
-
No. It’s more complcated than that. Can a single “beneficiary” (ahem) a under a contract made on its behalf and on behalf of others by an agent enforce a condition of the contract where the agent fails to do so? You’d need a squint at the contract before you could speculate and a bag of money. That’s why you’re right about Club 1872.
-
The counterpart of “rights” is “obligation”. Is bbc in breach of the contract with the league? Depends on the scope given to the broadcaster to elect which matches are to be covered.
-
“I’m going to suspect the OP has taken offence.. “ Dont read it that way. I think he’s just showing that not all of our rivals are wholly bad. Hayes did the right thing. See 26th above.

Can’t argue with any of these though the heart defies the head and asserts 0-4 the Wolves. ’Spurs v City has a 3-5 potential.
-
Just seen it on the telly. Far too soon.

Does your new wireless get the McFlannels, Compo?

There is a difference, though. Israel says don’t mess with us and we’ll leave you alone whereas Holy Church and the servants thereof must strain every sinew to bring about the conversion and redemption of the sinners of the world. I don’t believe there is a Jewish eqivalent of the Society of Jesus.

Put this another way, Barca. You listen to an arguement from a republican making apparently reasonable points about the abolition of the monarchy but nonetheless you profoundly disagree. He ends with a defiant FTQ. Does that not give you the chance to avoid his reasoned arguement by saying you don’t need to engage with someone who resorts to meaningless abuse?
-
More than one red out, I suspect.
-
buster, I agree with your line in this discussion 99.9%. I suggest, however, that if Fry concluded an eloquent, persuasive and passionate address eith FTP, he would have diminished his case badly.
-
Barca and Ian, I gather that like me you have no time for Roman Catholicism nor the current Pontiff, but when you cry FTP, what exactly do you mean?
-
How true.
-
Ross won’t do any favours. He might make mistakes. But he won’t cheat.
-
Nay, lad. I wrote in jest. My advice holds good though.

A bit dull again this weekend apart from Chelsea v United. Will Mourinho get the wheels back onto his chariot of genius? Hazard should be too good for them but a draw 0-0 would suit me fine. Long back in the day City v Burnley would have been interesting to see if City could impede the Clarets’ progress at the top of the division.

If there’s one thing bores me about Gonzo, it’s his almost daily rejection of all parties. I say to him, Gonzo old bean, there’s always a least worst option. Take it. If it only reduces a majority by one that’s an irritance if only a small one to the swaggering victor.
