Rex Kingsley latterly of the Sunday Mail, was the fellow who dreamed it all up. I think they only did the last half hour in those days but stout fellow nonetheless. Chap should have had a gong for that.

Ach well, she got the Hammers' goal right.
Hard luck on the Hotspurs. I prefer them to Chelsea but the blues are the better team. If they win on Monday, the points margin will be a true reflection of the difference.

Partick have already achieved their target for the season which was don't be relegated so they may decide to try to play some football for once.
A reinvention of the Maryhill Magyars?

Mystic Meg was at the checkout in front of me in Asda this morning. This was on the back of her message list:
Friday
West Ham 1-2 Tottenham
Saturday
Man City 2-2 Crystal Palace
Bournemouth 2-1 Stoke
Burnley 2-0 West Brom
Hull 4-0 Sunderland
Leicester 2-0 Watford
Swansea 2-1 Everton
Sunday
Liverpool 2-2 Southampton
Arsenal 1-0 Man Utd
Monday
Chelsea 3-0 Middlesbrough
Actually, I think Gribz knows more about this than MM.

I'd sign Attila the Germanic tribal king and Pope Francis if it would stop tiar.

'Well looked bigger and older. Rangers looked defensively weak.
Goals were good.

Can't see Juve club conceding one goal let alone three.

In the bygone days of yore that copper and three of his mates would have been up the terracing stair after that yahoo.
In the bygone days of yore that copper would not have been fat.

I'd take Maxwell, McInnes and van Vossen now.

Are you comfortable with the description of "disreputable" from a legal standpoint? Is that not slanderous and would the defamation not be actionable since it has been published? Are you satisfied that you could defend any such action by proving the truth of the adjective?
See #21 above BH.

Given the choice of "bastard" or "disreputable" a man of business and finance mught prefer the former though his libel lawyers might be thinking £ signs at the latter.

Bolton and Sheffield coming up. Big names. I hope their play comes up to standard.

Three points only for Hull - Sunderland.
Six for Swansea -Sunderland, of course and West Brom. Throstles have flown as high as they can manage. Pulis should sort out the players' attitude now. Coasting can carry forward to the next season and it's a hard mode to get out of.
Compo - unless either Arsenal or 'Spurs are going into liquidation or immediate perpetual relegation it's only the last derby at the Lane. The new stadium is just next door so it will likely be New WHL.

Reading - a club with little potential and not much history but they're the form side at the moment.

You were right about Wednesday when I had forecast their probable failure. I hope they go up but I fear that like Sheffield United before them they may not stay there long. I hope I'm wrong because that is a club with history and tremendous potential.

dB, a Floating Charge is a security over a company's entire assets. That sounds fine but from a new lender's point of view would you take that security before you knew the result of the tax case in the Supreme Court?

Quite fancy that.
"Aberdeen nil, Heart of Midlothian, one.
Motherwell two, Dundee, two.
Celtic nil, Rangers five.
Wa ha ha ha, WATP, GIRUY ya f*n**ns
Ahem.
Partick Thistle one, Kilmarnock one."
Would they ask me back next week?

If the players don't want to play, get rid of them.

Thanks.
Away with the lawyers. It was what we used to call in the playground "a dirty foul".
Send him off, ref.

Serious foul play or recklessly dangerous play. Which would you rather be a victim of?
I need some clever bloke like BH to explain the difference. Does the former imply the use of a lethal weapon?

Well done Derek Rae. He supports Aberdeen, his home town team but he spent a few years in US sport. Travel broadens the mind.
How often have we seen brave, battling performances from Scottish sides sometimes laced with marvellous individual skills only to be torpedoed by some crafty continentals who have applied a bit of brain.

They were almost the first force for a few years in the late 40s and leaders of an anti-celtic majority in Scottish football. Times have changed.

Is that the Danny Swanson who had two seasons at Bayern before Saints outbid PSG for him and how much more did the grubbees pay to snatch him from under the noses of Real?
Or am I imagining that?

In answer to dB's enquiry they had a go at the Forth Bridge early on but I don't think the city was itself was raided.
