I read the thread in #1. Sheepies excoriating Wiggy Milne and only slightly above lukewarm about McInnes. What a bunch of ingrates after a sccessful couple of seasons. By their standards, of course.

Dead right about Cazorla and Ozil.

I hope that's there change outfit. Normal kit blue and white stripes?

Final day specialist. The rest of the season a passenger at best, a liability at worst.

I hope Town do it but my backing a team this season has spelled disaster except for the FA Cup Final.

The Gianni Greggio of Italy.

There are imperial clubs, Boabie, such as Rangers, Arsenal and a few others and there are upstarts.

Played a stormer at right half that night but his centre forward career proved that you don't have to be six feet plus to control the air.
Pound for pound and inch for inch they don't come better than Jimmy Millar of the Rangers wearing number 9.
My memory of M&B isn't Bryant & May but May & Baker, makers of a famous medicine as in "Rangers dish out a dose of M&B" when Jimmy and Ralphie lashed in the goals.

Thanks for that very cheering post. It puts things into a proper perspective.
I watched only from minute 79 to minute 87. I did not see the goalkeeper of the team drawn as the home side until minute 87. The other team were very, very poor yet they whacked us just three weeks ago.

Retiring from Rangers.

Gunners could have had three in the first ten and thereafter ran the game contrary to my expectations.
The boy Mertesacker looks a prospect.
Did I see Sanchez and Conte exchange especially friendly smiles at the starting handshakes? Where will he be next year? Hope it's not Chelsea.

To win, Aresenal must score three, possibly more.
No chance. But, yet .....

Mourinho would hace failed at Bristol. Thnk it was City.

It's decades since Sunderland were a Bank of England top five club but they are still a good step up from Aberdeen.
They need a good tradesman manager. Allardyce, but I think he's jacked it in now. McInnes might suit. A steppingstone to Ibrox or downwards to Dunfermline.

Sutton is doubtless haunted by many memories of torment but Dunfermline/Kilmarnock will be more grisly for him than Helicopter Sunday.

On that basis, an improvement on what we have.

I don't know the bloke from Adam but some say he's just what the Board needs and some say he shouldn't be within a mile of it. Who to believe? And why has he gone?

I would take Armstrong and probably Tierney from that squad but no one else.

I let you do the work, old boy. I just add the tweaks.
As you know I've got Mystic Meg and Old Moore on my backroom staff. I'm planning a summer swoop for Nostradamus so he's bedded in ready for a good pre-season.

Excellent summary. Tried to improve it but couldn't.
'Spurs must wish there were still three more games.

Not withstanding each persons individual goals for the club--------thats stating the very obvious.
Yes, but it's not been tried for a few years.

A gloomy season will be brightened considerably by the relegation of the Caley.

People put in big money by way of season ticket and other investment and turn up at Ibrox for the kick-off. So far so good.
Fifteen minutes in and Rangers three goals up. Too easy. May as well get off to the pub.
Fifteen minutes in and Rangers haven't scored. Ach, you Miller/Waghorn/Manager/King gtf etc. for twenty minutes then sullen silence until Rangers score in the seventieth minute. Weurrapeepul, follow follow for five minutes then follow follow the exit signs.
We start well but like some of our strikers we cannae finish.

Be honest, BH, you lifted that from FF.
Seriously though, that's good stuff. I suspect you will have read "Count Belisarius" by Robert Graves. If not, away down to the library. Better still, buy it. Deserves to be on your shelves.
