  1. When was lennon ever pregnant?

But seriously, he is admired by many because they would like to be like him. Cheating, fighting, swearing, they've all got it in them but can't bring themselves to do it hence adulation for somebody who does.

Cooponthewing, the psychology guy, will tell me if I'm reading right.

  2. Arsenal 1-0 Leicester

    Watford 0-3 Liverpool

    Chelsea 4-0 Clarets

    Palace 3-0 Town

    Everton 1-1 Stoke

    Southampton 2-0 Swans

    West Brom 1-2 Bournemouth

    Brighton 0-5 Man City

    Magpies 1-3 'Spurs

    United 3-0 Hammers

I like a bit of early season exhuberance.

I forgot about Everton yesterday. Who will score their goals? Sixth place for them ahead of 'Spurs behind United, Chelsea, City, Arsenal, 'Pool.

And going down: Huddersfield, Swansea and (sensation!) the Baggies. Hope I'm wrong in that one.

The teams I would personally relegate are Brighton, Watford and Palace with apologies to their fans for my arrogance these are not proper teams. Bring up Wolves, Wednesday and Villa and give the League a proper look to it. Folk readng this under the age of sixty will reckon I'm a raving lunatic. Who's to say they're wrong?

    Sunday

    Newcastle 1-2 Tottenham

    Man Utd 0-0 West Ham

  3. Can't disagree with most of that except the bit about West Brom. Throstles are always watchable but I fear they've over achieved the last couple of seasons and may be spiralling down.

'Spurs had their best chance last year. Shame they couldn't quite manage it. Four or five years before they will challenge again.

    Arsenal could be fourth.

    City need some professional defenders.

'Pool will flatter to deceive - yet again.

Don't write off Chelsea but it is with the utmost regret that I make the following announcement. United will win it - aaaarrrrgh!

  4. Niño is a bit young - muchacho?

I'm currently learning Spanish so it's a nice wee exercise to give my take on a translated version, with some artistic licence to fit it in to the rhythm and rhyme especially as Spanish has a lot more syllables:

    Hola, somos

    los Guille Muchachos.

    Hola, nos con-

    ocerán por los ruidos.

    Vadeamos en sangre F*nian.

    ¡Rindanse o morirán!

    Porque, somos

    los 'Derry Muchachos.

    Which means:

Hello, we are the Billy Boys.

Hello, you'll know us by the noises.

    We wade in F*ian blood.

    Surrender or you'll die.

Because we are the 'Derry Boys.

Or a more literal translation (but try singing it!):

Hola, hola, somos los Muchachos Guille

Hola, hola, ustedes nos conocerán por nuestro ruido

Estamos hasta los rodillas en sangre F*nian.

    ¡Rindanse o morirán!

Porque, somos los Brigton Derry Muchachos.

    Brillante!

  5. 12 men? What's the story there?

The reds came out after half time with an extra player. Game went on for a few minutes before Waddell, I think it was, pointed it out to the ref who promptly equalised the numbers.

  6. Very good analysis.

This is a competitive league. I have no clue who will go up. I would like it to be Wolves, Wednesday and Villa but I expect to be disappointed. Normally I'd like Sunderland to be back but a season in the the Championship might let them weed out the dross and get in players who actually want to play.
