I was with you ‘til near the end but how much are they there for the football and how much for the look-at-us special clothing and anti-celtic signalling? As is often said about the assumed followers of another club do they hate the other side more than they love their own?

Couple of hardy tradesmen in that team, Willie Rae and Johnny Little plus the rollicking Sammy Baird. The legendary Geordie Young , the young Caldow on his way to world-class and the best right half I ever saw, Ian McColl. A solid ‘keeper, two dazzling wingers and Billy Simpson and Maxie to rattle them in. A very god side.

Or the new chap on the list from Vietnam, Mr Fee Nyun.

A bunnet’s nothing. I had a quarter bottle in my hand. What happens when you throw your hands in the air? God knows where it came to earth.
Only nine years before Falkirk won the cup with Derek Grierson in the team beating Killie in the final. I was pleased because I didn’t like the Killie ‘keeper, Jimmy Brown, though I should have been grateful because they had evicted celtic in the semi.

“If Wenger was coaching a duck, it would drown.” - a talker on Talk Sport.

If the ‘keeper had been 50/50 for the ball and Moreles had clattered him he’d have been greetin’ for a free kick.
I don’t subscribe to this “got a bit of the ball” nonsense. If it’s accomplished by breenging into the tackle like an elephant run amok it’s a foul.

I can see the headline:
“Bren/Brown SNUB Gunners to stay at Hoops. Ancelotti next in Frame?”

“There is now no evidence of a crime”
Lost in the snow is it? Have they checked the shelf behind the swear box. Maybe left it on the bus back from St Petersburg.
Rubbish statement. They should have said: “Because of the outcomes of other related cases, the evidence remaining is not sufficient to procure a conviction and it is therefore not in the public interest to proceed.”
I expect Green is even now on the ‘phone to his lawyers.

A bit of perspective here.
This is the guy who scored for Rangers in the Upper Tier Tribunal before the appeal judges spoiled it all. What’s more, he declared his celtic shareholding and the BDO lawyers declined to object to him hearing the case.
He is the Commercial Judge so, surprise, surprise, he hears Commmercial cases no matter who the parties are.
In these circumstances, members of the jury, I invite you to find his Lordship not guilty of whatever it is you think he might be guilty of.
Having said that, his photo reminds me of Charlie Nicholas and a couple of other wee forwards who played for the tims but whose names I haven’t bothered to remember.

No retreat in Russia is complete without a burning of the colours at a river crossing. Expect to see the ashes of the green and the grey floating down the Neva before dawn.

Ticket holders excluded from the recent cup-tie at Fraserburgh have received a refund and a letter of apology and explanation. The letter ends:
”I hope someday that you will be able to visit Bellslea Park and if you are ever in the area when are at home on Highland League duty, please let me know and we can arrange complimentary tickets for you.
Once again, I would like to express my disappointment in what happened and hope that your team continues to rise to where it rightly belongs, challenging at the top of Scottish Football.
Regards,
Finlay Noble
Chairman"If there’s still honourable behaviour to be found in Scotland, it’s usually in the coastal and rural north-east.
And the Borders, I suppose. And most of Ayrshire, good bits of Fife and South Lanarkshire and the northern Highlands. Almost everywhere really. It’s just that the dishonourable make more noise and pull the levers of publicity.

The geezer is Chris Ewing and his club’s already in the Lowland League so he’ll graft his new project on to it. But where are all these supporters coming from? There are too many clubs already playing in front of handfuls.

This is the gist of the nonsense:
Fraser Ewing or Ewing Fraser or somebody with Ewing in his name runs Edusport FC in the Lowland League but he wants to convert it into a football club owned by fans, run by fans, for the fans subscribing annually at a fixed rate of £25 per head. Claims 200 members since yesterday’s launch. Didn’t actually say where they would play. Motherwell was mentioned but not necessarily as the venue. Anyway, most of the fans will be online which conjures up an image of an empty stadium so that conforms to at least one criterion of Scottish football. The club will rocket up the leagues and into Europe. A great alternative to Rangers and celtic.
I thought there were already a good number of alternatives, all of them rubbish but never mind that. At least the few who support the existing alternatives are loyal to them and I can’t see dozens of Jags, Airdrie, HubzanHertz, Dundee, Raith, etc fans abandoning their allegiances for new entity.
White was bubblng with enthusiasm for this great new idea. The other guy was doubtful.

A Broch insider told me yesterday that the attitude of Rangers players and management had been excellent and much appreciated by Fraserburgh. He reckoned Rangers win was comfortable.
This guy is a comparitively rare creature - a native non RC north easter who supports celtic. Footballing reasons only. Having said that, I know another one. Both decent blokes

Sad news.
The best summariser bar none. The baboon children at BBC Scotland and BT Sports should be locked in a room with Jimmy Armfield’s tapes and not allowed out until they learn how to do the job.

City were stunning. 500+ passes swiping them up and across the pitch effortlessly. Chelsea knew long before the end they could do nothing about it.

The best thing about Ross-shire is that it's full of bluenoses. I wonder how they'll take to Mr Coyle.

The irony is that in his previous job Ross would have been up to his knees in filth and grime hours before the pasty-faced record scribblers had got out of their beds of a morning.
