  1. Note “”Ready” on Bobby’s badge.
  2. The Lion Heart is 80 years old today. Many happy returns to the hero.
  3. Liverpool seconds beaten by the Wolves. Much as I like Wolves, Liverpool’s first XI would probably have won fairly comfortably without putting too much strain on the players.
  4. Aye, but the medals were awarded when the recipients were at other clubs. Never mind. They’re oor medals noo..
  5. May be about to play his last game for Chelsea before joining Henri at Monaco. His plea to celtic “to come and bring hm to Glasgow” must have been ignored. I’m sure he asked, didn’t he?
  6. I don’t entirely agree about Gordon. He may be A grade reptilian now but for a few years he was an excellent broadcaster. I have no problem with an Aberdeen boy supporting his local team. Brought up to hate Rangers he didn’t show it, in fact, he seemed to be a great admirer of David Murray when he was at the height of his powers. But you can’t work in pollution without becoming contaminated yourself. “Sebo Night” was the turning point when he read out the infamous text. In fairness he did ask the programme producer for permission but the die was cast that night and his professional veneer was removed to reveal the the unacceptable face of of sneering bias. I wonder who was the producer and who wrote the text?
  7. This club never stops whining. Them’s the breaks. Rangers have had plenty going against them.
  8. THE VERSE 2 Tom English is surely a keen yin, Supporting a team that’s a green yin, His prose may be long, But most of it’s wrong, Well whaddya expect from a ..... Struggling for a rhyme here lads. Any ideas? Kenyan would be wrong.
  9. 5-0 last season and a draw at Anfield this season which City would have won if Mahrez could take penalties. I know what you mean, though.
  10. Bloody Toffees. Nonetheless tomorrow: Bournemouth & Boscombe Athletic 2-2 Watford Chelsea 4-0 So’ton Town 0-2 Clarets Hammers 2-0 Seagulls Wolves 3-0 Palace Magpies Utd 0-3 Rags Utd And Thursday: City 3-1 ‘Pool
  11. The morra: Everton 2-0 Leicester Arsenal 3-1 Fulham Cardiff 1-3 ‘Spurs
  12. Good montage. Nice to see Willie Rae (bald head next to Wullie) Understudy to Sammy Cox but played a lot when Cox was injured. First pick for any other team in the land but Rae was Rangers.
  13. Stunning victory for the Wolves. ‘Spurs too flaky for an authentic league challenge.
  14. Mibbees. Everton and Hammers will both score twice.
  15. Rangers will lose. celtic are not a great team. We’ve known that for a few seasons now. They don’t have to be. No other side is can get more than a few consecutive wins. Rangers certainly can’t. Jostling with Kilmarnock and Aberdeen isn’t a league winning status. Comparative success in Europe has reduced the level of criticism but what success was it? Most of the opposition were nonentities. The Whyte/Green excuses are wearing thin. We’ve got enough to see off the rest of Scotland and have a decent shot at the tims. Morelos apart we have no gallus guys and no tough guys and no high talent. Alfie is all three in one. Viva el Buffalo
  16. And now Super-seen-it-all-Santa’s fab Boxing Day tips: Fulham 0-1 Wolves Burnley 1-1 Everton Palace 1-1 Cardiff Leicester 1-3 City Liverpool 3-0 Mags Manchester Utd 6-0 Town OR Manchester Utd 0-1 Town ‘Spurs 3-0 Bournemouth Brighton 2-2 Arsenal Watford 1-3 Chelsea 27th So’ton 2-0 Hammers
  17. Cosgrove? Boatrace? I suppose he turned down the offer of a blue.
  18. Twice at least and especially in the lead up to the goal he was in a good position to receive a pass but when it came, he was fractionally late in taking the ball. Maybe he was thinking about what to do with it once he’d got it but the really good footballers know that at the split second of delivery.
  19. Defensive organisation is poor. McRorie is not quite awake today. Concentrate lad. The ball might come towards you. Alfredo would be dynamite with a little help up front. And the rest of the team needs to learn that at least one pass in five should be forward. The orange and blue is great. The football is poor.
  20. de Bruyne and Aguero are wonderful players for City but the vital cog in the machine is David Silva. Ian McMillan with an extra power pack.
