I’m glad this is so, tbh, having read through this thread, I have absolutely no doubts at all that many of the contributors would bore me to death

Sorry to bore you again but you’re right. Dornan needs to be confronted and rebutted at all times. More power to your elbow but, metaphorically speaking, as you draw back the bowstring just make sure the arrow’s pointing at a real target.

First 45 minutes we were brilliant and even breathtaking. Seen a lot of negativity but keep putting pieces in the jigsaw and we’re absolutely going in the right direction under SG.

Agree about the first half. As good a performance as I’ve seen on telly in years. Arfield was like an old fashioned inside forward driving forward. Last ditch defending from Hibs but in fairness the defenders got into the ditch and did their job. More two man blocks, sometimes three of them, in 45 minutes than I’ve seen from Rangers defenders in umpteen seasons

Half time broke the momentum with the goal coming so close to it the team maybe thought the job was done.

Kamara excellent from start to finish. Aberdeen will have a plan to stop him. Yellow card worth the risk.

Hibs’ McGregor and Gray should have been off. Normally they are good journeymen defenders but both were demented last night.

  3. Tomorrow:

    Palace 3-1 Brighton

    Cardiff 1-1 Hammers

    Town 2-0 Bournemouth

    Brendan’s Blue Boys 2-1 Fulham

    Mags 1-1 Toffees

    So’ton 0-2 ‘Spurs

    City 3-1 Watford

    Sunday:

    Liverpool 2-0 Burnley

    Chelsea 3-1 Wolves

    Gunners 2-1 United.

  4. Wolves and many clubs like them will always struggle. The days of the single club star player, Lofthouse, Finney, Wright Moore, are gone forever. How do you compete with the glamour of London, the trophy winning of Manchester and the legend of Liverpool except by paying top money for not quite top players?

I hope Wolves find another way to carry on. Great side to watch at the moment but what if Chelsea want their manager and Neves?

Mention of Nat Lofthouse reminds me that another famous Wanderers    club, Bolton, are in big trouble and might not play at the weekend. An example of an extravagant money source suddenly ending when their benefactor/financier died.

  5. Don’t say no, we’ll have another go.

    Hotspurs 1-2 Gunners

Bournemouth 1-1 City (Am I out of my mind?)

    Brighton 3-1Town

    Burnley 1-2 Palace

    United 3-0 So’ton

    Wolves 4-0 Cardiff

    Hammers 2-2 Mags

    Watford 2-1 Leicester

    Chelsea 3-0 Fulham

    Everton 2-2 Liverpool

Good match in the Championship tonight:

    Leeds 1-2 WBA.

Agreed but there is another way. If 72 are absolutely certain on the facts, as I’m sure they are, they can write to a reputable newspaper if they can fnd one (Scotsman, Herald of several decades back) drawing the editor’s attention to Dornan’s Parliamentary Group creation and its ostensible purpose     and contrast that with his conduct as set out in the statement. They don’t even have to call him a liar. “Failure to state accurately” or similar lawyer’s weasel phrase would do.

Complain also to the Standards, Procedures and Public Appointments Committee of the Scottish Parliament.

  7. Well done VB. Pursuing a maggott can never be a wholly bad thing. But they’ve petitioned nobody to get Dornan’s influence removed from something.

Tilting at windmills. That’s for tims. Or Dons, even.

On second thoughts this is actually something tims do quite well. They’re no good at displays and banners but they’re sharp enough at real political stuff.
